Target's Black Friday sale this year will start on Thursday, November 27, 2014. Target's Black Friday sale started on Thanksgiving last year as well. So far, they have left out the exact starting time for the sale, but last year they started the sale at 8pm.

The sale ends on Saturday, November 29 making this a three-day Black Friday event and back-to-back with their Cyber Week starting on Sunday, November 30, 2014 - the day before Cyber Monday. Combined with a week-long Cyber Monday sale, shoppers will have ten consecutive days of hot deals and Black Friday savings.  You can sign up for advance info HERE

Boy, I wish we would get a Target. We only have a Wal-Mart and KMart in my area.

Don't feel bad - we ONLY have a Walmart and we just got that a few years ago - the nearest Target is in the next city and the nearest K-mart is over an hour and a half away! :(  But - the internet is my BEST friend - living in the middle of nowhere. LOL ;)

Thankfully my target is like 15 min away. It won't be my first stop but I will get there at some point. I am lucky that we got a Walgreens a few years ago in my town so I have them and walmart to go to first.

We have a lot of Targets around us. Two of them are literally 5 minutes from each other. 6 in total. Idk why we have so many so close. However, they are all packed on black friday. Lol

I was happy to be able to do most of my Target shopping online. I still went out there.

I will shop online while waiting in the line. It worked well last year for us.

Im new to the whole black friday shopping.  But are all of the black friday items from Target available to order online?  if so, why would you want to go to the store and fight the crowds?

A lot of people try to buy online. Sometimes it runs out, sometimes it will be back ordered and you may not receive it in time for Christmas, so people would rather have the item in hand and not worry about it if they absolutely had to have it.

But yes, I'd rather order online and not fight a single crowd.

If I were just starting, I don't think you could pay me enough to make me go to the stores if I didn't have to. But I've been BF shopping so long, and I'm desperately clinging to the traditions, even though it's not at all the same anymore.

Target is the King of Black Friday. I'm one of those people who wants to make sure I have my must haves in hand. I've always had a good experience at Target on Black Friday/Thanksgiving. I like Target on Black Friday because Target will have specials like one year if you bought 2 bags of Hershey candy you got a Hershey ornament free, another year it was a teddy bear free with purchase and then another year a Hershey's candy dish. The items weren't advertised, but were available as in store bonuses. I like the extras you can't get on line.

Went to pick up a few movies that I couldn't get online with hopes that they had not sold out since I waited til around 9:30pm in order to eat with family.    The place was in no way packed, many items (even cheap 55" tv's) were still around in stock.  I think the 6pm opening tonight was a flop, at least at this store.  Just my 2 cents.

I'll be interested to see how this all plays out for next year.  Walmart was SWAMPED; even at 8:15 (I know they had another sale starting at 8:00) and I think all the 6pm busters were sold out.  I also think Target's ad wasn't quite up to par this year which may have something to do with the lack of crowd.  Plus, with Free Shipping on Target.com with Red Card, that's easier to purchase small items without needing to go into the store.
