coworker was mentioning KitchenAid mixer yesterday....I think this might be the year I upgrade, then start picking up attachments with kohl's 30% sales through the year to make it a one stop shop for EVERYTHING :P

How much is everyone budgeting?

budget?....whats is this so called budget?

I'm sure I could work with a budget but have never had to. I do MY BEST to not get out of hand but there's no guarantee. I'm aiming for a 32-40" tv for my aunt, maybe a kitchen aid mixer and a new camera. I just make sure whatever I'm buying is well discounted and will be useful or make a nice gift.

I'm hoping to pick up some of the sears scarve/shawl type things for coworker gifts this year since the office is freezing and they're pretty decent quality. I picked up a couple last year but not enough for everyone who gave me gifts and wound up swapping gifts around and giving coworkers all bath and body stuff so it was a mixed bag of stuff and ppl wouldn't be jealous/envious of others.

I'm excited and ready. I would love to replace my Galaxy S3. Maybe someone will sell the S4 for a penny. That's how I got the S3 a few years back.

For those anticipating the opening of the holiday exchanges a special message from the accounting firm of ShiShi, ShiShi and ShiShi...

Soon. Very soon. When Chief Elf's avatar changes you'll know it's about to go up ;)

Now a question from Chief Elf for those who have taken part or are thinking of taking part this year: do you like having a longer list of questions to answer or would you prefer to go shorter? I noticed a lot of blank spaces last year so maybe it needs to be condensed a bit. I do have a format in mind that I believe would work well and still provide people with enough info on their exchange person. Feedback will be accepted through Tuesday night only so I have time to get things ready. :)

I personally Like the longer list because it gives me room for

More ideas on what to get the person, the more you

Learn about them the better chance you

Have on getting them things you know

They will like. Whatever questionnaire You think

Of will be more likely to work for everyone

Is highly appreciated :))

BF is not here yet & Im already exited for the

SS 2014 :P

I also enjoyed the longer list of questions; although I must confess to leaving 1 or 2 questions blank. It did make it easier to think of and even eliminate gift choices for my Secret Santa.

So Exited,Ill be making  a list of the items I "WANT" this year :) 1st one is a new Lap Top !!!

Today is a good day to shop for a laptop on Staples.com.

1) http://www.staples.com/coupons has $150 off computers regularly $499 or more (38812)

2) http://www.staples.com/coupons has $150 off clearance computers (93281)

3) http://www.staples.com/coupons has 25% back in rewards

These are all in store (the rewards is only in store).  If you are Discover Card user who happens to take your rewards in Staples gift cards, you can use up to five of those on this purchase.  Since they are 'same as cash' they have no impact on discounts or rewards.  These $25 gift cards cost $20 in rewards, so that is another $25 off.

I prefer the longer list. The more we can know about our person, the better. And, if someone is inclined to say "I don't know" or "I don't care" on some questions, maybe there are other questions to help fill in some blanks.  I also thread stalk (if you want to call it that).  Once I have my person, I see what she/he has posted on threads in Gottadeal to try to learn more about them.  I hope that's not as creepy as it sounds when I type it out :).

At any rate, I'm so excited for the SS and Ornament Exchange!

I wouldn't necessarily have come out and said it :)... but I have done the same when questionnaire didn't help much.

I agree the more info and options provided the better gifts we can get
