Mommie2one Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 King Crab Legs and Shrimp Cocktail (husband insists every year). Kids will homemade cheeseburgers. I also bought mozzerella sticks and breaded mushrooms for later. Wine coolers for refreshment for me. Thats about all I drink.
Guest all2tired Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Most likely I'll be sitting up all by myself watching the ball drop in Times Square while hubby and the kids snore away. Then I get to sneak into their rooms and give them each a New Year kiss. I have a boring life rofl
SlyGirl Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 They are suppose to have a New Years party here, but I'm sure it will be lame. So I might just sneak off to my tent and see the new years in through my eyelids.

snakeswiff Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 We are having a party...we do every New Years...Hubby will be cooking Penne a la vodka, chicken cutlets, veggies. The liquor will be flowing and corks will be flying at midnight! Its always a good time with all our friends!
ebony0421 Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Hubby will be in Rochester for a funeral, so the kiddies and I get to run around the house, eating and drinking. I think that I'll record the ball dropping so when he comes back we can watch it together.
fairydustcrissy Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Happy Birthday to all the new Years babies! We will be home with the kids. They never seem to make it to midnight. I bought some TGI Fridays frozen appetizers today. So we will be having Potato Skins (yummy!!), popcorn chicken, queso dip, chili con queso (homemade), and a bunch of other un-healthy yummy stuff. Also, I will down my usual bottle of pepermint schnapps, and hubby will be having Killians (cuz it was on sale, LOL.) No drinking till the kids are in bed though. We may have friends over, not sure yet. Hubbys best friend will prob come over with his girlfriend. We are pretty boring people, lol.
ajburlingame Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 We are going to a very family oriented, no alcohol, card party. Works out good for us since my daughter is 17 months old and I am 8 months pregnant. I figure if we make it til 10 o'clock we will be doing good this year.
jamesave Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Birthday cake. Brian is turning 6!brian is a new year baby?
Kayakmom Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I'll be cooking...TGIFriday appetizers, lol. I'll probably make myself a marble boule with spinach dip. Hubby will probably want some shrimp. I like to just do pickins. We certainly won't be going out since I'm about 7 months pregnant and besides, we have a four year old. My nine year old decided to stay at his dad's next weekend. Usually we go for a New Year's Day hike at a state park nearby, but I'm not sure I'll be up for that this year. It's pretty rigorous, but I like to start the year with the best foot forward. I think maybe I'll go out for an easy hike to try some photos with my new camera that Santa brought. :)
gemini1217 Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 We are going to a friend's house along with another couple. We all met through our kids (kids are friends at school). We will have some games & food.....probably even set the clocks back a few hours that way we can celebrate "NewYears" early for them & put them to bed....then we will be able to celebrate @ midnight!!
malachitecat Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 going to inlaws house. do it every year and I love that tradition. I'll probably cook the 17.5 lb ham my work gave me. and not sure what else yet.
magickallight Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 We stay HOME - too many drunks on the road to go anywhere, plus - it's hard to beat my DH's cooking! This year my 9 year old picked the snick snacks - he had never tried escargot - so we will make that for his sake, along with crab legs, lobster cakes and other munchies. We have our bottle of champagne for midnight and he has his sparkling cider,,, Ho, Hum, I know - but safe, secure and GREAT EATS!
Gloey Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 My son has skybox tickets to the bulls so guess who is babysitting. But hey, that's ok\1
Guest Deals4Me Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 We will be having a better evening than one would of thought! We have to be at a Funeral Friday night, so we'll leave alex at the inlaws, and then pick him and them up the next afternoon and go upto Brookfield zoo with our free passes and see the whole zoo lit up and the people dressed up as charecters from rudolph and such, and since its new years, they'll have a celebration at 8, come back home and darren and I will have a mini party.
JonathanM Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 no plans.. will probably just play video games and annoy my cat
malachitecat Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 no plans.. will probably just play video games and annoy my catya know, that's not nice, and he'll (she'll?) eventually get revenge. mine always did anyway.
able Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 We are going to a friend's house along with another couple. We all met through our kids (kids are friends at school). hpowers Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 I'm making stuffed mushrooms this year. We have had a New Year's eve party for 15 years now. Works good with kids. Everyone else brings their kids, we all eat, drink, and be merry! Best part is, we don't have to drive.
Cwilliams Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 We will be celebrating our 3rd anniversery!
JonathanM Posted December 28, 2005 Posted December 28, 2005 ya know, that's not nice, and he'll (she'll?) eventually get revenge. mine always did anyway.if you call revenge sitting on my lap while I'm working on my computer or sleeping on my bed next to me than she does that all the time... sometimes I think she is the one in charge.
rabx5 Posted December 29, 2005 Posted December 29, 2005 I bought 4 pounds of shrimp to boil. We have in-laws coming up from Tennessee. I am sure we will just play cards and eat and drink. I hope somebody else decides to make more food.
