  1. I have an 18 (almost 19) year old stepdaughter who has the same problem. Also, she is too cautious and nervous. That is actually one of the reasons they gave her for failing her first driver's exam. She failed the second one because she pulled out in front of someone. By some miracle she passed the third time. I've told her father I don't care if she does have her license she is not driving my car, at all! I told him she's leaving in less than two months, she can practice driving once she gets to the army and they can teach her. I did it for almost two years and couldn't take it any more.
  2. Last year on BF they pricematched a wireless router for me. They had to discount it $40 and didn't even blink about it. Just had the CSM come over and override it so it would allow the discount. It wasn't until I got it home that I realized I got the wrong router. Instead of getting the one that was 49.99, I got the 79.99 router with speedbooster. I was in such a hurry to get out of there with my laptop I didn't think anything about the large discount. At the end of the day (after my nap) I got to looking at all the stuff we got and realized my (and their) mistake. LOL
  3. We were in line at best buy for like 10 minutes after camping outside for about 30 minutes. Got what we went for. Then we ran all over getting other stuff. Got to Kohl's and got the jewelry. I think that was the longest wait, like 30 minutes or so to get the stuff and pay for it. We found some dr seuss books we were going to get, but saw the line and decided against it. Good thing too, a friend of mine was there getting something with a friend's daughter and she said they were in line for over an hour.
  4. oh yeah.....i'm doing that too.
  5. we got to best buy at 4:30am. The line was around three sides of the building at that time and there were still a lot of people that showed up after we did. Although we didn't get there till right before opening we still got what we went in for, the 19" widescreen samsung.
  6. I don't think I could handle another day. I got up at 2:30 because that's when hubby got up and couldn't get back to sleep, which meant 3 hours of sleep for the 3rd day in a row. got to the stores at 4:30 and didn't get home till just before 6 this evening. I was afraid to sit down, thought I would just pass out. Although, it was nice to think all day that I was getting paid to shop (my boss gives up two paid days off for thanksgiving and christmas).
  7. They finally got some of the dark blue wamsutta in stock at amazon. They are on their way as I type. Thanks all!!
  8. Okay, I can now say I don't like satin sheets. It was an hour before I stopped laughing enough to go to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night and the blanket was on the floor and SO had no sheet - oops, I had it all. I'm off in search of jersey sheets again.
  9. I didn't even think about ross. We don't have a tj maxx. However Ross is close to the mall and I'm heading that way tomorrow. I'll have to chek in the morning. Thanks! Oh, btw, we got the bed, they finally delivered it at almost 8 this evening. We spent all day looking for sheets and since I couldn't find jersey knit ones, we are trying satin sheets as I am very much against regular cotton sheets.
  10. Was just in there today, only king size was bright neonish pink. EWW! and the lady couldn't zap the tag with her computer and tell me if they were getting any more. grrrr Guess I'll just keep checking. sometimes they have it on qvc and amazon. Thanks for the help though.
  11. We are having to break down and buy a bed before we move and have decided on a king size. Does anyone know where I can find a good deal on sets of king size jersey knit sheets. I LOVE these sheets and will sleep on nothing else. If I can't find the sheets I'll have to go with a queen bed I guess. All help is greatly appreciated!
  12. hmmm that's strange. Both of our WM's will price match any ad (card or not) that is within 50 miles of the store, but it has to be a printed ad not an in store one, which is fine with me. I usually go shopping on the weekends which gives me a chance to see the grocery ads which come out here on Wed and go through them. I go to WM with my list and my ads and they price match everything (unless they already have a cheaper price on it which is usually the case - except milk).
  13. Dallas Alley is a fun place on the weekends. They have several bars in one area, one being a karaoke bar, one a piano bar (funny pianists), country bar, can't remember what else. There's a 106 acre flea market in Grand Prairie called Trader's Village which was kinda cool. And of course in Arlington they have Six Flags. Oh, and in the northern area somewhere, they have a Godiva store (if you go there, have a honey roasted almond truffle for me). If I think of anything else I'll let ya know.
  14. I can relate, I'm here when I should be working, doing homework, etc. However I have cut down quite a bit since this is my last semester and I can't wait to graduate. And, in response to the other person.........I don't know what's wrong with your gottadeal, mine still looks the same.
  15. We have a store here called Furniture Row Outlet. We got a sofa and loveseat for about $750 total. Don't know if that helps any......
  16. This may seem odd, but I love this spritz and it is no longer carried at walmart. I prefer the unscented, but will use either as long as it's the spritz. I've looked but can't find it anywhere other than ebay (and it's ungodly expensive there). Has anyone seen this and if so, where?
  17. I went to a gun show recently and picked up a p22 just to look at and the guy behind the counter told me it would look 'cute' on me. I was a little offended by that. I thought about getting one of those too, but if I do it sure won't be from him.
  18. the Walther P99 9mm. The Ruger 45 he has is just too much for me. When I reread my post thought it was kinda funny I was suggesting to him to get me a pistol as a wedding gift. lol
  19. Since the late 90s I have had almost nothing but phillips products in my house (the exception being a dvd/vcr combo). My current tv is a 27 inch phillips that I bought in '97. It has survived 6 moves and a small tumble down the stairs and works just like the day I bought it.
  20. Our target already has winter stuff on clearance. Going to get SD a heavy winter coat today, hoping they marked it down past 30%, but still not a bad buy (windbreaker, fleece jacket with lining - 2 jackets zip together to make one heavy coat) at $30.
  21. Had to search out the thread, but was wondering if anyone else saw the Miller Lite (?) commercial....they have his house on there. The tagline was 'Enjoy the Lites'. I thought it was very cute.
  22. both layaways are open already here. put stuff on layaway yesterday.
  23. both of ours went to 75% today....and was told they should go to 90% early next week.
  24. sometime next week they will go to 90% off
  25. yep.... I'm just a nosy kind of person...hehe and thank you kind sir for the move.
