Great Dane Mom Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 I'm thinking about purchasing a subscription or whatever it's called for the Mega Millions Lottery. I can buy a year's worth of picks at a discount. I think it's 90 some dollars. I would put the ticket or whatever they're going to give to me after I pay for it into a box and print off pictures of things we've always wanted and glue them onto the outside; for example, a new Jeep Wrangler, a Jaguar, log home, trip to Paris, trip to Disneyland, Devil's Tower, Mount Rushmore, a hot air balloon ride, a Harley Davidson Fatboy (ok, so this one I WANT), a trip to Key West,... You get the idea. Every time we hear that the lottery is up really high, we always say we should buy a ticket. We'll never win unless we buy a ticket. So, is it goofy to do this or should I try to find a sensible gift (like what, I have no idea!!)?
malachitecat Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 We are always saying the same thing and then forgetting. I know my man would like something like that.
shanni Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 My husband would love that, yet I never remember to do it for him!
Bestbuy7 Posted December 21, 2005 Posted December 21, 2005 that like a waste of money. If you dont win anything that is..
ebony0421 Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 If your dh likes the lottery, I think it's a great gift.
decafmom Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I think it's a great idea! We always put scratch-offs in the kids' stockings. I want one of them to win, but in the back of my mind I always wonder what will happen if one of them does win a big amount...will the others be mad? LOL
alacazander Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 What a cool idea! Where do I find out more information on a subscription?
Great Dane Mom Posted December 22, 2005 Author Posted December 22, 2005 If you live in one of the states where Mega Millions is played, just go to a lottery retailer and ask. They can do it there.
teebee Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 That is a fantastic idea! I think he would like it
brownlands Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I think that is a great idea. I know my husband would love that.
Kandy Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 I think its a great idea. If you DH likes playing the lotto
phins_jazy Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 Thats a neat idea. I agree with the thought of you can't win if you don't play. We buy tickets every now and then. We put scratchoffs in the stockings too! DH is getting pajama pants this year. He's always complaining that he doesn't have enough so this year he'll have enough! :)
Scruzin Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 My MIL would love this, so would my husband. That is a gift that he is going to remember all year! Where can I get one?
hillbillyswife Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I would love to know more about this. I live in Indiana and I would have to go to Ohio to get it for my DH but he would love it!! Any help would be great! Thanks
hillbillyswife Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I just talked to the Ohio lottery office (1-800-686-4208) and they say they have never heard of it.
