My sister uses these a lot. She has never had a problem. The only restrictions she has encountered was to spend a certain amount and sometimes can't use them on the week end. Those are pretty routine restrictions for any type of restaurant coupon.

Yeah, that's my hesitation. Usually, it's a $40 min not including drinks. My friend used one and it provided great savings. We bought drinks with the savings

I found the restrictions printed right underneath the cost of the certificate on the website. I had a few restaurants in my area, but none I frequent. At least they tell you in advance what you can and cannot do.
