msl94 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 According to this link, Best Buy will have their Dyson vacuums 25% off as a BF Doorbuster. Ironically, Lowe's is having the same sale; however, I cannot imagine the lines being as crazy there than at Best Buy. Any thoughts? gbeenie Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 MAN I wish that Kindle special was for the larger model. 1
Tara3117 Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Usually when Dyson goes on sale at one retailer, all of the retailers have the same deal. I've noticed that happen a few times through the year. It must be set by Dyson themselves. I don't think Lowes has any doorbusters so you might find fewer lines there in the early morning. I always make Lowes one of my last stops because of that, however, I've also run into stock outs on the good deals.
faceofboe Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Looks like I'll be trying for one of the kindles for my father-in-law if I can get it online.
losmabies Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Super excited we will have early access to the Best Buy sale items since we are premier members of Reward Zone. If you know someone with the same type of access, we got an email a couple of weeks ago that allowed us to invite two friends to enjoy the early shopping as well. I will be more than likely getting the Kindle and I am hoping for a great deal on a fridge.
lvkvtv Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 losmabies, what was the headline of this email. We are silver reward zone members or the new "elite plus" as they call it now and I do not remember seeing this email. thanks!

It is so annoying how it always crashes as soon as the sale goes live. So much better than waiting up in the middle of the night, though.

msl94 Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 Dysons at Kohls are usually cheaper with the discount coupons and sales, and you get Kohls cash. I've actually considered Kohl's for Dysons only because of the Kohls Cash; however, it would depend upon their sale and what, if any, coupons are available. The only thing that makes Best Buy and Lowes attractive is the 18 month, interest-free financing.
peppysfireball Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 He made a mistake when saying the kindle hd was 199 . The new kindle hd is only 139, so I would still buy from amazon and not best buy as I save about 8.00 in tax. plus I have the satisfaction of dealing with amazon and not best buy in the beginning if I hve problems. He also said it was last years model, which I found last year, most stores had an old model and let you believe it was the newest one. Ifit's last years model, it is only worth 99 now.

There is a 16gb on bestbuy.com showing regular $199.99. It is not available for shipment, so I'm wondering if that is the one that will be on sale for $99.99. Edited November 7, 2013 by Kim3498
bigjimslade Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 If the same deal is at Lowes I would go to Lowes. The Lowes around here are dead on BF. Also try Lowes online. I was able to get a lot of the deals and doorbusters 12 after the sale started. According to this link, Best Buy will have their Dyson vacuums 25% off as a BF Doorbuster. Tigger97498 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 (edited) Ok I've went braindead and cant remember how things work with doorbusters on Bestbuy. Is it likely that the Kindle Fire HD will be online? I'm wanting to use my birthday money to get that sweet deal and sell my playbook on ebay but can only get it if its online. True BUT its a better model than the $139 because if its last years it has the camera which the $139 does NOT.
riven3d Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 if its available online its one of those items that we talk about on the webcast to expect your order to be cancelled on it. DO NOT buy DB's online from BB as they will cancel the order, this happens every single year.
Tigger97498 Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Hmmm ok guess i'll wait then for another store to have an equiviant or better deal on one then.

I have always had good luck with Bestbuy.com for my Black Friday electronic deals. I have ordered from them for years and have never had an order cancelled. I know this has been a problem for some, though. If you dont feel comfortable ordering from them, keep a eye on Amazon. They may just match that price on gold box or lighting deal the week of Black Friday. Edited November 8, 2013 by Kim3498

Kim3498 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 (edited) what did you order? as we are talking about doorbuster items, not other stuffDoorbusters along with other stuff over the years. Its all in the system. The trick is being awake and waiting on the prices to drop and adding to cart and checking out immediately. I start with what I think will go first, and check out as soon as i get it in my cart. With elite plus (formerly known as silver membership) you have free 2 day shipping so no need to combine everything to keep down shipping cost. Edited November 8, 2013 by Kim3498
riven3d Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 elite members get to order their stuff days before everyone else now, been that way for the past couple of years, but most orders for doorbuster items online are cancelled.

I'm not arguing with you. I have heard some have had cancellation problems. Just saying I never have. Edited November 8, 2013 by Kim3498
bpr Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Hence my tag line 'Don't get cancelled'. It refers to the many times over the years I have ordered online and had stuff cancelled during BF (though the truth be told, most of the cancelled items weren't supposed to be available online as doorbusters ). Anyways, last year was my first time as a Elite member and had no issues ordering what I wanted. 1
Tigger97498 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Sounds like its a crap shoot on ordering doorbusters on best buy. think I will make them an absolute last resort only if no one else has it for that price that way even if my order gets cancelled I dont lose out because I wasnt going to the store to campout a week ahead anyway.
losmabies Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 We have been very fortunate the last three years to get the early access to BF items. This may be our last year as we probably will not make the minimum purchase amount to stay Elite Plus. We have never had a doorbuster cancelled on us and I hope I just didn't jinx myself into having one. We will order 3 of the Kindles for our kids and I am in the market for a new fridge so I am waiting to see what they offer there. I am just anxiously awaiting the full ad to be released. Come on already Best Buy!!
jamieva Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Their site has a bad track record of crashing when the sale goes to the general public.
mistyinca Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 If the same deal is at Lowes I would go to Lowes. The Lowes around here are dead on BF. Also try Lowes online. I was able to get a lot of the deals and doorbusters 12 after the sale started. Lowes online is the best! We've ordered all our bf finds online at 9p and picked up next afternoon for the past two years now. We did the same pretty much everywhere we bf shopped last year. Last year We laughed at the line wrapped around the building at target at midnight while we were on a michaels run. I woke up at 6 am and placed my target order from my cell phone on bf and went back to sleep. The last time I got up early for bf was probably 2009 or 10 when I went to staples at 4:30 a, saw the line, and knowing what I wanted was one of only 3 expected to be in store, went home and stumbled across it stlill available online at like 8am and ordered it online there for the bf price! Why stand in line? Anyhoo have we decided which model of kindle fire is anticipated to be $99 at best buy?
Tigger97498 Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Misty it says 16 gb so it has to be last years model and not the one being sold now for 139 since that ones 8 gb
jaymacfla Posted November 9, 2013 Posted November 9, 2013 If Best Buy initiates the worst case scenario, we will have to pull out the plastic days ahead and use the Elite Plus status to shop for some of the door-busters, all while camped outside! It is a good thing to shop online and camp for the tradition!
