How early will stores open this year

Who wants to bet that eventually BF will be before Thanksgiving?

No need for that. Like Bigjimslade said, it is officially cancelled. My wife informed me that as of the Best Buy announcement (which is going to happen) she will no longer be doing Best Buy thanksgiving dinners on the grounds due to the early opening! Saturday is again the new Thursday. We had planned another 2 table spread this year, but that tradition is blown out of the water. If anyone cares to see our previous dinners, they (videos) are on the web!

Wow, Toys R Us is 5pm on Thursday!  I will not be stopping there.

I'm pretty bummed about that.  There are quite a few items from my shopping list in their BF sale but it's not worth skipping Thanksgiving dinner over.

I cant'  believe they are taking Black Friday away from us.  My family and I looked forward to spending all night shopping. We will not be doing that this year.  I feel bad for all the employees who have to miss Thanksgiving to work that day.

I posted this in the store specific forum but kmart will be opening at 6:00am thanksgiving morning and staying open until 11:00pm Friday night

I wonder if these retailers realize they are ruining BF for all of us.Early opening times is keeping me out of the stores.Worse case ill buy what i need off Amazon or even ebay.Who cares if i spend a few extra dollars..Deff not a money making move all you cooperate people.

I think we will be doing Thanksgiving dinner as usual may run out for 12am sale but think it is crazy the stores being open during dinner time....not fair to the poor people who are missing the time with their family's.
