Office Depot $99.99 PC deal on 12/3

I received a phone call from an Office Depot employee that the corporate is offering the same deal AGAIN today. I called 1-800-go-depot and confirmed that.

However, when I visited and later called our local Office Depot store, they knew no such thing. I called 1-800-go-depot again, asked to speak to a supervisor, but was told that there is no such deal.

I've wrote to complaints @ officedepot dot com and waiting for a response. I guess you may try to call your local store to see whether they are honoring the offer again.

I've been burned by companies so many times. Now I record all incoming and outgoing calls. This would have been the perfect solution in this case.

Well, good luck!

Did you write down the persons name, extension/badge ID and phone number? Please say yes.

Comp USA is having an Emachines desktop for $199 on sale tomorrow. I know it's not $99, but still a decent price. You also get $125 if you sign up for a year of AOL. Monitor sold separately. It has an AMD Sempron 3100t processor. That's all I know about it.

is this an advertistment that has just come out? I don't live near, but might drive to a CompUSA for another shot at one of these. Any more info would be much appreciated.

I buy the Sunday paper Saturday afternoon so I know if I need to be up early the next day. The ad is for tomorrow. Prices good 12-4 to 12-10. It doesn't say much in the ad. This is it word for word. Emachines desktop PC featuring an AMD Sempron 3100+ processor for only $199.99. Computer only. After savings and rebates but before AOL fees. Monitor sold separately. $399.99 $25 instant savings-$50 mfg mail-in rebate-$125 instant savings when you sign up for 12 months of AOL.. T3112 #334763. They offer both the $14.95 and $23.90 plans to qualify. They are also offering no interest until 2007 on any desktop system or notebook $499 and up, or any digital camera or camcorder $199 and up.

Sorry it took so long for a reply, but I was out shopping for a Christmas tree.

If anyone is still interested, I found a deal at BB, too. Looks like the same computer and it costs $299.97, but you don't need to get AOL. It also has a 17" flat screen monitor and a printer (doesn't say which). The ad says it's 256 MB DDR RAM, 100GB hard drive, DVD/CD-RW combo drive, 8-in-1 media reader. $599.97- $150 BB bundle rebate- $50 CUP mail-in rebate- $50 monitor rebate- $50 printer bundle mail-in rebate= $299.97

I don't believe it's a scam ran by the VA OD store, as I left my information on the waiting list on Black Friday morning, after other OD stores told me either the system crashed, or they oversold and HP pulled off the offer. I do have the names of the three managers of that VA store, and I do appreciate that they were willing to go extra miles to contact customers that the corporate has offered a solution.

But the funny thing is, I was able to CONFIRM the deal by calling 1-800-go-depot! Then in about 20 minutes later, another agent at 1-800-go-depot said, no such deal exist. Maybe it's a localized thing, that people not in the eastern time zone got screwed again. Anyway, I would be really like to know how the corporate will respond to my questions.

Too bad the closest CompUSA is 130 miles away...

We finally got a call on Friday the 2nd that OD was going to honor the deal from BF. My mom took the call and placed the order so I didn't get to talk to anyone. I'm just wondering how the rebates will work now.... Gotta run out there this weekend and pick up the receipt and talk to the manager to see what they are doing about it, there was at least one for $150 that said the purchase had to be dated that friday or saturday.
