sperdue
Got up at 6 am to go to JCPenney's big doorbuster sale this morning. It was supposed to be a good one! Get to the mall only to find out the Penney's in my mall is going out of business!!!! Items in the store were 20% off regular/marked up prices! By no means were they as cheap as the ads. Since they are going out of business, they are NOT honoring the ads! Man I was MAD! The next closest one is over 30 min away and I had to come to work.. GGGRRRRR! christmasangel
That does suck! That's shocking that one of their stores is closing- I guess I'm just use to our big one that is always packed- not a good thing sometimes! LOL
santaclaus
We had a JC Penney to close in one of our malls last year. They did the same thing.
DragonSlayer1500
You'd think if the store was closing, they'd lower their prices majorly to get rid of stuff...not be jerks about sales.
ebony0421
I would think that since the store is closing that signs would be hanging everywhere and that they'd be having good sales.
alimfp
Stores going out of business run on a different protocol then regular stores. When going out of business, they usually start their sales at 10-15% off and then work to 75% in a few weeks. This is to try to make the most money while getting product out of the store. They don't want to give it away. Sorry!
decafmom
Most of our JCPenney's have gone out of business as well. Sorry to hear about your cruddy morning though. That sucks!
