clothes shopping

I didn't get any on BF, but instead went on Sunday to get the things we wanted - they were from Walmart and not on sale at all.

Here's What I got....

DD1 - 2 Pr of 2pc pj's (1 Disney Princess & 1 Pooh), and an outfit

DS4 - 2 Pr of 2pc pj's (1 Buzz Lightyear & 1 Tigger), and an outfit

DS7 - 1 Pr of 2pc pj's (video games on it), and an outfit

Now the oldest didn't get as much because his were more expensive and we spent more on other things for him (he doesn't get excited about getting clothes like the other son :rotflol:

The little ones' pj's were 6.92 each set and the older ones were 9.98. The outfits...DD's was 2.88 per piece (pants & shirt - snowbunny theme), DS4 was a 3 pc set with warm up pants, long sleeve football t-shirt, and zip up hooded sweatshirt for $6.50 total, while DS7's was a 2 piece warm up pants with hooded fleece sweatshirt for $8.88.

I know it wasn't all that good of deals, but it was about $60 total for all of them, so I don't think it was all THAT bad. They don't get "new" clothes except for at Christmas time. The reason being is that we have a brand name kids consignment shop here in town that has sales 2 times a year...each sale is where you can fill a walmart bag (until it's ripping at the seams) for a total of $6.00 per bag :g_dance: I can clothe our kids for a year on about $60 total for all 3, so I splurge at Christmas time a little :)

I got a jacket for myself that was 30% off, nothing special. My mom made OUT though! I'm so proud of her, LOL! She called me that weekend and told me that she and my sisters went to JCP and she got a winter coat for my sister for $29.99, originally $129.99! And she knows that was the original price too because my sister had her eye on it for awhile and so my mom was tracking the price, hoping it'd come down enough to be affordable. Boy did it, LOL!

I hit the motherload at the Banana Republic Outlet sale. They had 40% off the entire store - even clearance merchandise. I walked out of the store with about $600.00 worth of merchandise for around $170.00. Woohoo!

I also bought a pair of Cole Hahn shoes which retailed for $275.00 for $64.00. Not bad IMHO.

Our outlet mall had the 24 hour sale from midnight on Thursday til midnite on Friday. It was a zoo. Some of the stores had lines outside of the door of shoppers waiting to get into the store.

In the Banana Republic store, I think I waited around 1/2 hour to checkout.

This is the 5th year this has been going on and I now know where I will start my BF shopping next year!

I'm not buying clothes until I lose the baby weight.

I said that 10 months ago...only I wish I had the willpower :cry2: I had no choice but to break down and buy some clothes (she's 10 months old) :giggle: I think it's harder with this one because I get even less sleep, so the carbs keep me going when I lose energy (and chocolate...and pepsi...LOL)

That's my problem. No sleep, so no energy. I did wind up buying 2 shirts from Target a few months ago, but I am surviving on my husband's shirts, my sweat pants, and one pair of jeans.

I'm still able to buy clothes for my 5yo dd, but my 16yo dd is almost 6'2". She needs an inseam of at least 36 inches and she won't wear guy jeans. We got lucky at Value City (B&M) one day and found 2-37" inseam junior jeans and one 39" inseam junior jean. We were high-fiving ourselves after that purchase. Well, ok I high-fived her, she barely had to raise her hand.

old navy was one of my 6 bf stops...everything i got was $10, including a guys' button-down collared shirt (reg $25), velour separates for me, & a half-zip fleece jacket, plus boys' polos 2/$10...long checkout line, but everyone got a scratch-off card (mine was for $10 off $50, so i got all my stuff for $40) & a little breakfast bar at the door, which i thought was great

I went clothes shopping and I got a ton of great deals. Since we didn't really need anything at the biggies (WM, Kmart) we started at BonTon (dept store) and got amazing prices along with 20% off and/or $10 off any purchase of $20 or >, and tons of door buster items. Then it was off to Old Navy and got a lot of the $10 deals on the fleece and velour separates along with the scratch off ticket for 10% off entire purchase. I got a lot of gifts and some gifts for me as well!

If my kids don't "need" any clothes, I try to wait until January. Personally, I do a lot better then. If my kids need or want something, my favorite time is the week before, and I hit the mall, when everybody is having sales. Dillards is where I do the most damage.
