Mara Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 I think it is kind of like having a baby- you tend to forget how painful it was, so you are up for it when it happens again. LMFAO OMG if that isn't the truth. I know I'll do it again and again question my sanity lol Mara
kfinto65 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Yes, but I won't buy things with rebates. Now I know Best Buy has a huge scam with that going..hence my story!I'm mad as hell at Best Buy over these rebates! NEVER AGAIN!I bought 3 items yesterday with rebates totaling over $200. So of course I want those rebates! 2 of the items were the same items and they never said the rebates were one per person and one per household. Well, I'll just have the other one sent to my mom and to her house. I can get over that. But I saw some people loading up on these. They will never get the rebates. Now I bought a 19" Samsung flat screen monitor that had a $60 best buy rebate and two different $30 rebates thru samsung. Reading the two $30 rebates from samsung they won't give you both. So I might loose out $30. But of course the price they post in the sales paper shows you can get all these rebates but you can't. It's one rebate per person per house and can't be combined. What a scam! I called best buy customer service and basicaly said sorry we can't help you they are manufacturers rebates and we can't help you with those.Recently Staples had a deal where anyone could get McAfee Internet Security Suite 2006 for free after 2 rebates. I found a problem as soon as I read the fine print. Both rebates wanted the original UPC code! I called Staples and they said to make a copy for one of the rebates. I did that for the smaller rebate. Guess what? I got both rebate checks on the same day! So it doesn't hurt to try. Go for it and you might get both $30 rebates.
lsdlsd0 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 I will stay home on BF and shop online. B&M is just not worth it (i ended up getting most of my deals online) unless u hire bums to stay in the line for you.
Elsie Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 I won't know until the ads are leaked on Gotta Deal...lol. I know I won't be going to the CC I went to this year.
Mommie2one Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 This was my first BF so definately, if I have a sitter next year, Im there! Great experiences this year. All stores had my items in stock. Can't wait to do it again
ebony0421 Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 I am so ready to go right now, after a nap. I am more informed about stores and deals, thanks to this site.
daworths8 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Sure will. Im even thinking instead of trying to get some stuff done early I may even hold all my Christmas money and do it all on this day. I did more rebuying and taking stuff I had already bought (outside of price adjustment periods) back, did my own price adjustments, than actual shopping.
mom2thegirls Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 It's a tradition to get a Penney's snow globe!
Gporter34 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I ended up getting out of WM and speeding over to Penney's got a snowglobe, then got to Radio Shack ten minutes before they opened and still got everything there I was after. I am adding that the only reason I was speeding was because security at WM ran into the parking lot yelling at everyone who got laptops to LEAVE now because people were trying to take them from the people putting them in their cars. When I got down the road, I passed the cops flying out that way!!!
mjmcca Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Since i had to work this year i will have next year off and I AM going shopping next year. I stopped at TRU at almost 11 yesterday morning to see what i can get even at that late time. So i am hardcore even when i have to work!
Bestbuy7 Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 Maybe , Maybe not right now my decision is not to... they tried to break my friggin arms off . Luckily its not but is painful when i touch them. [here a tip for next bf - dont keep your hands in your pockets when there's a big crowd trying to fit in one door]

queenofshopping Posted November 27, 2005 Author Posted November 27, 2005 Definitely!! I could not give the gifts I give if I did not bargin shop and go out on BF.thats exactly what i tell people when they say im crazy for doing BF
scrappynik Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I agree with the poster who said this was their best BF.....same here! In and out and got everything we went for (and then some!). Saved tons of $$$. We've been going for 8 years now and will continue to go every year
