EliteABombAZ Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I remember a few years ago... my delivered paper didn't have all of the ads. Only stores within a certain amount of miles from me. The store bought paper had EVERY ad. Now every TG morning, I go out to QuikTrip to get the paper and some taquitos off of the hot pan.
ShopperMom Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I plan on getting up around 6 a.m. to go buy the paper, I live in a very small town , with only one paper machine, last year I waited till almost 8 and they were all sold out, I ended up having to drive to my Mom's house in a neighboring town to get her paper.
daworths8 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Get mine in the mail with the bundle coupons! Stores directly in my town anyways. I got them yesterday
saturnboy01 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Im having to go out and get one since I do not get mine delivered!
ebony0421 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I am going out to buy one. The paper guy is so slow, the sales will be over if I had him deliver it.
Marcster Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 We only have the Sunday paper delivered... However, SHEETZ has free coffee on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve, so it's a "tradition" for my wife and me to stop in for the T-Day paper, coffee, and breakfast on our way up to her parents for Thanksgiving.
pampam Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Mine will be delivered and I'm not counting on all the ads being included because some have been omitted in the past. I e-mailed the paper's customer service department and promptly received what was left out.
Mommie2one Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Mine is delivered, but rarely has all the ads. 2 yrs running now. My husband ends up having to go to the corner store and getting me one. And every year I call the paper the next day and get a credit. You would think the paperboy would be out of here by now. But no. He had the nerve (paperboy) to tell me the papers are heavy and sometimes he omits some inserts!!!!! I told the paper that and all he got was a "warning". Little good that did
ravi7791 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 We go to one of those boxes where you put money in. We grab ALL the papers in there because of the macy's coupons

pnlcooper Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 We go to one of those boxes where you put money in. We grab ALL the papers in there because of the macy's coupons We don't have those boxes in Orlando, I can see why I see fewer and fewer of them even when visitn home in San Francisco.
aolson Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I will have to run up to Circle K and grab one, I don't have delivery anymore, but even if I did, they never had all the ads. Andrea

We grab ALL the papers in there because of the macy's coupons Do you realize that's the equivalent of shoplifting the newspaper from the corner store? Do you pay for what you "buy" at Macy's, or do you steal that too? fdd
ajburlingame Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I go to the local gas station and pick up my paper :)
Mommie2one Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Doesn't he get paid to deliver the papers? The WHOLE paper, not partial ones. You would think. This kid is a nut. He won't deliver the papers on time and its only half there. Im surprised the paper still has him as a carrier. Guess they don't mind crediting customers for the paper. If the paperboy would get a wagon or something like that instead of riding his bike, he would be fine
kfinto65 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Do you realize that's the equivalent of shoplifting the newspaper from the corner store? Do you pay for what you "buy" at Macy's, or do you steal that too? fddHow do you if they are stealing? They might be paying for every copy!
blakes_mommy Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I will be up super early getting a few!
lesliepear Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 We get a paper, but sometimes we've checked my MILs paper also - she lives 15 minutes from us and doesn't get the same circulars.
Marcster Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 How do you if they are stealing? They might be paying for every copy!Well, the the word "grab" and the ":D" implied that ravi7791 only put in enough money for one paper and "grabbed" the rest...
dswright Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Please do not take all of the papers form a box!! That person is trying to make a living from delivery and has sacrificed their holiday to service you. Have some consideration. Most paper carriers only make $30-40 per day, if that. Stealing 20 papers from a box at .50 costs them 10.00. :wife: If you cannot afford paying .50 for each paper for a 10.00 off coupon, how in the world can you afford to shop at Macy's anyways!! I have worked in management at 3 different papers and have personally caught theft in vending boxes at 2. Would you rather spend 5.00 to have 10 Macy's coupons or spend the holiday with Bubba in the big house eating bread and water flovored turkey. From what I hear, Macy's is not having the coupons tomorrow anyway.
Guest Deals4Me Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 We go to one of those boxes where you put money in. We grab ALL the papers in there because of the macy's coupons Thief. I am seriously ILL thinking of people like you. THATS THIEVING! The papers are not that expensive. Geezus. You are sick.,
Mugglemom Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 We've learned to go buy several at a time. In years past, TRU, Target, or whatever has been missing. And having to go back to the store stinks. So we usually buy 4 or so from different places in the stack. This way my sister has her own copy and I have mine. I even put my name on all the ads witha sharpie. I'm so goofy.
Gporter34 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 I got mine today at the store for WM. The rest of them were in yesterday's paper.
