cireafan Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 (edited) A new record... Best Buy LINE already forming at this El Cajon, CA store, and it's 8 more days til Black Friday. http://www.wlfi.com/dpps/news/strange/shoppers-already-lined-up-for-black-friday-nd12-jgr_4977988 Edited November 15, 2012 by cireafan
burgmules660 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 What a bunch of idiots, what is so great about the ad anyway? They must be doing for the fame and hoping that BB will give them free stuff for lining up so early.
tinkrbel Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 I'm relieved to hear it wasn't another FL ridiculousness, thank you to these fine folks in CA
deelite Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 I'm relieved to hear it wasn't another FL ridiculousness, thank you to these fine folks in CA LOL! NOTHING in that ad is worth it this year and I am a hard core BF freak! Maybe they hope to get a free iPad like one store did years ago.
stationchief Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Just keep an eye on 'em so they don't get up and leave when they get free stuff
jakesmommy403 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 That's insane!!! They don't even look prepared for a week of camping!
shopping4my3son Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Saw this on the news. http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/business&id=8887105 http://www.ksdk.com/news/article/347758/28/Black-Friday-shoppers-already-lined-up
bpr Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 That's insane!!! They don't even look prepared for a week of camping! They've got their chips .
jakesmommy403 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 They've got their chips .I said the same thing! Got my Pringles, all set.
HappyHolidays Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 Saw this on the news. http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/business&id=8887105 http://www.ksdk.com/news/article/347758/28/Black-Friday-shoppers-already-lined-upIf someone is seriously in line already, that is just ridiculous! There is nothing there to save you that much money to stand in line for a WEEK! The store and/or cops should make them leave.
jaymacfla Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 They've got their chips .The way the one lady was slurping down soda, she was extremely hot! As others have indicated, they are the most ill prepared of the early shoppers. Sunburn will remove them faster than anything. [video=youtube;wll6GGuzy5k]http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=wll6GGuzy5k Camping is for the pros. The video will show you what you will need to stay for long periods of time.
jaymacfla Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I found this article on their web page. If the community wins, the people might have to move. Black Friday: Rolling Hot News Location: Best Buy El Cajon Schedule: Thursday, November 22, 2012 at 6:00am – Friday, November 23, 2012 at 12:00pm - Westfield is asking that no lines form prior to 6:00 A.M. November 22nd.
avguydan Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I hope that nobody shows up for many more days and all those extra days will be useless... Also, the employees should not let them use the bathroom until Monday at least!
bigjimslade Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Unless you are me who brings my own bathroom on wheels. I hope that nobody shows up for many more days and all those extra days will be useless... Also, the employees should not let them use the bathroom until Monday at least!
bigjimslade Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I am here at HOME Will be out there soon. I am packed and ready to go! Where is BJS? lol
jaymacfla Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I am here at HOME Will be out there soon. I am packed and ready to go!I am still waiting on the sale on monday. There may be a campout at Best Buy, or Sears.....right now it is too close to call! Sears.......
jaymacfla Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I emailed the store manager. I asked him not to give out any Ipads, or other enticements as I view this is a safety issue for the rest of us who camp for long periods of time.
avguydan Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Unless you are me who brings my own bathroom on wheels.Oh I hope that was a joke lol. I wouldn't want to be sitting next to it in line Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2

November 22nd.Novel idea in theory but if people couldn't line up outside Best Buy until 6AM Thanksgiving morning wouldn't people then instead of lining up outside of Best Buy just make a line to be the first person to be first in line at Best Buy if you get what I am saying. Otherwise wouldn't there just be a mad, chaotic rush come 6AM to see who can be first and thusly the potential for some serious fights and such. Almost like a real life Hungry Games.

tdanette Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I'm almost hoping someone else will join them for safety's sake. 2 women sitting out there, ill-prepared, obviously they have their money with them....:/
Erdica Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 I am not surprised. I figured the camping would begin this weekend. I didn't see anyone lined up at our BB on Wed night....but I won't be surprised to see them starting this weekend. It's going to be cold here in OH...best of luck to them!
fabnsab Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Maybe the store is in on it for the publicity...
deelite Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Maybe the store is in on it for the publicity...I thought about that too. What if they are BB employees or their family members.
bigjimslade Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 No joke! Welcome to the community! GottaDeal.com regulars know I rent a port a potty and charge people for it's use. A buck a dump. I park it at the end of the parking lot. Oh I hope that was a joke lol. I wouldn't want to be sitting next to it in line Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2
mrscrafty Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 Unreal. Hopefully they won't be giving them any free stuff. When the other people were given an ipad (last year) I turned to my husband and said, "Next year they will be lining up earlier just to see what kind of free stuff they get!"
gmhfay Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 that's is unbelievably stupid!!!!!!!!! Don't these folks have a life!???? I mean I love going shopping on Black Friday and all that but I'm not going to wait in line for a week!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry........
Mursilis Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 This is why the BF deals have declined over the years - the rubes will line up anyway, so why should the stores cut prices drastically when they can get the suckers with very little discounting. It reminds me of when my local Circuit City liquidated. They brought in a liquidation company which changed all the price stickers to reflect higher prices, and then gave 10% off that. They actually had a line out the door and around the building full of people who fell for the "liquidation" deals which were actually higher than the regular prices had been the week before!
