Nurse4cure
When I look at the gootadeal online ad, walmart's 700 thread count sheets, it showed $19.96, and when I look on my Walmart page the price is $34!!!Also the Paula Dean cookware price is $106 for my area! I don't understand why there would be such a big difference in the Oklahoma area?
Angelseyes28
Hmmmm I don't know. I live in MS and the ad's that Brad always posts are dead on with what I eventually get in the mail.
Brad
Some states have MAP (minimum advertised price) laws. That's the reason for the differences.
flosmoney
In Oklahoma they can not sell below cost. So the big specials we do not participate. I know it sucks.
DaFees
That's the thing about MAP laws I can't understand. How do such laws continue to hold up when couldn't a person just drive across state lines to a state where said MAP laws do not apply?

tmcws
My advice is to possibly check your ad again - my ad had much higher prices than were listed in the scan here - I called the corporate number and asked why - the Nabi 2 tablet was listed at $124 in this scan and was $199 in my local ad, which is retail price. They took my local store's zip code and said they'd check into it and call me back...they never called back, but the ad was corrected in about 20 minutes. Hope the same happens for you! 2bauer4
There is something wrong with our OK prices. The 32 inch Emerson is showing $210. I checked the 2010 Walmart BF ad that I saved to my computer and the Emerson 32 inch was $198!

I checked the 2010 Walmart BF ad that I saved to my computer and the Emerson 32 inch was $198!Not just w/ Wal-Mart, but in general, I've noticed BF items being higher priced than last years BF. I think it should be the other way around.
Chewbybell
What everybody else said, there are laws here that they can't sell below cost It stinks because the price differences are HUGE this year between ours and the other states.
2bauer4
No, there is something wrong. Right now we have a Best Buy add that is running a 32 inch LED Insignia for $219 (Regular $229.99). The Walmart add shows a 32 LCD Emerson for $210. An LCD BF price is not $20 cheaper than an LED regular price. I suspect as tmcws found above that this is the retail price.
