momlori Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Spoke with trainer at target and the unconfirmed opening time is 10 pm thanksgiving night
arci122 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 So if we get there at midnight, the line might be through the door Last year I hit the Walmart Midnight, got through the line and packed the car, and drove to Kohls, Target line was still around the building and slowly being let in....not worth it in the northeast.
Erdica Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Wow. I guess I was expecting them to open at Midnight again this year. Opening at 10 would change some things for me. Hmmm...
bribri25 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 It's hard to say how this will factor in. It all depends on the items in the ad for me. Would have to be worth fighting to Target crowd - usually isn't. Waiting in exterior lines certainly are much more difficult than TX or FL. The wind chills can easily be below 0° F. Im hoping for 32°…that makes it bearable.
b_parks Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I hope they do open earlier. I prefered the morning hours like 5 AM but I didn't like last year! I would rather the stores open at 10 PM or so, so I can get to all the stores and home by 2 or 3 AM. I didn't like doing the midnight to 6AM and sleeping the rest of the day!

I can be home in bed no later than 3 am and be awake by 9 or so and eat breakfast with the family!!
bigjimslade Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Not all the time. Sometimes in Texas you will have good weather and some you will have bad weather. A few years ago in Dallas it did sleet and snow on Thanksgiving Day. It's hard to say how this will factor in. It all depends on the items in the ad for me. faceofboe Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 I was hoping for a midnight opening as well.

Jen198 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Target will probably open at midnight here then, I think last year they opened at 1am here in Mass.
disfamily0405 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 My husband is a Team Lead and he was told today that he is scheduled from 8pm Thursday to 6am Friday :-(
DiamondGal Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 I'm confused by the Target times in their ad and comments on the forum. The ad says doors open at 9pm. I'm assuming that means 9pm Thursday. So when are the doorbusters? Are they at 9pm Thursday?
riven3d Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 yes the doorsbusters are when they open at 9pm
jskarp Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Unless you are in MA and then the door buster will be when the open sometime after midnight lol
daftande Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 The ad says "Online All Day Thanksgiving", anyone know what time online starts? 12AM PST / 3am EST?
royalstation Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Will door buster deals be available online?
Brad Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 The ad says "Online All Day Thanksgiving", anyone know what time online starts?12AM PST / 3am EST?We'll get all that info in the next week or so and we'll post a schedule of all the store's online start times here on the site. It takes some time to get answers from them all as far as time zones.
Brad Posted November 10, 2012 Posted November 10, 2012 Will door buster deals be available online? Some, but probably not all. I'd suggest browsing the archives from past years: http://forums.gottadeal.com/forumdisplay.php?120-Black-Friday-Forum-Archives and search for the Target.com threads and see how past years have gone.
