mrstoots Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 I was at my local Walmart in Leicester, MA tonight and saw they already have the BF hours posted at the registers. This particular store is opening at 1 AM! I'm curious to check out the other WM's in the area to see if they have signs at the registers also. Last week I was also glad to see they had some Christmas stuff out. And tonight they had even more stuff! All those cheesy, stupid musical animated reindeer and Santas, you know, the usual. Lots of glittery ornaments, if you're into that kind of thing.
tokanm Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 The dollar store is totally decked out for Christmas/Hannukah......even holiday music!
mamat2011 Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 I hope my dollar store has stockings. I want to buy cheap stockings then decorate them for each of my sons' gf and for my gdaughters.
santaclaus Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 Mamat, you can get stockings at the Dollar Tree stores. I think the local one here already has them out.
mamat2011 Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Mamat, you can get stockings at the Dollar Tree stores. I think the local one here already has them out.I went this am and mine doesn't have them out yet.
BlackFrdayVet Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 I'm pretty sure most likely mine will be open 24 hours
angelbabymommy Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 For the last couple of years, mine will open Thanksgiving morning and will remain open until close on BF. I'm pretty sure it will be the same this year.
LCPanther1975 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 My Wal-Mart is open 24 hours. We actually have 2 Wal-Mart 24 hr SuperCenters in my town....it really helps to break down the crowds!!~
aew82 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I would double check the MA hours to be sure. I remember last year the store near us in MA said they would be opening that early but do to the laws in MA they did not end up opening until around 5. My brother-in-law had lined up at midnight and he said there were a lot of angry people because they expected the store to open because no one had said any differently.
tjredsox4 Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 I live in MA also and I always call the store that I plan on going to in advance to confirm their opening time, I believe it was 4 last year.
aimallis Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Last year our 24 superstore posted its "open" times.... After 10pm on THANKSGIVING you could check out, but only with items A B & C.... After midnight or 1am you could check out with electronics, and then after 5am there was another sale, LOTS of people standing around with full carts till midnight or 1 waiting for the electronics, felt alittle bad walking in front of them all and checking out with my other stuff.
tsjbenny Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 I wonder if it will be 10:00pm and Midnight again this year. I did not care for both sales so close together. It was crazy at my Wal-Mart. Hope they change times for this year.
ObiRich Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 My wife works at a Walmart Supercenter and the scuttlebutt there is 8PM for the first batch of door busters.
lorilwayne Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 I don't know about hours being posted but I know a week ago we were at a Walmart in Nebraska and there were multiple "pod" type storage units. The kids commented "Hmm I wonder what that is about." I got a grin and said "OMG I bet that has the black friday and other Christmas sale stuff in it." They think I'm full of it... they don't think it would be out that early. I don't know maybe wishful thinking on my part. Any thoughts.... What IS in those pods?
jinglebell Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 The pods are used for over flow, a lot of the stores put all the toys in them as the back-room storage just isn't big enough. Also some holiday stuff too. This free's up the store back room storage.
theboyzmom Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 My wife works at a Walmart Supercenter and the scuttlebutt there is 8PM for the first batch of door busters.EIGHT pm???? That will pretty much ensure I won't be going out this year...it was bad enough with the 10pm and 12am openings.
AndreaInNC Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Our Walmart is a supercenter and open 24 hrs ..
cRabago Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 The majority of websites I've visited have indicated that Walmart will start their sales at mid-nite... I for one, hope its true so I can rest up a few hours before heading out!
tinkrbel Posted October 17, 2012 Posted October 17, 2012 I was bummed last weekend after hitting Walmart and not looking out for signs. It's too early for recon anyhow JUST wished I'd have looked instead of being in my usual rush.
oandesmom814 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 My Wal-Mart is open 24 hours. We actually have 2 Wal-Mart 24 hr SuperCenters in my town....it really helps to break down the crowds!!~ We do as well, I totally agree!
rogue1230 Posted October 19, 2012 Posted October 19, 2012 I saw the Raynham MA Walmart also posting for 1Am.......hmmmmmm maybe this year they will pay for the permits to open before 5?
