tokanm Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I want to get DSs nice watches for Christmas. Movado or Tag Heuser I hope
shay Posted September 10, 2012 Posted September 10, 2012 I have quite a bit of Christmas Shopping done already! This year, we are doing quality over quantity. Honestly, my kids have more than any.one.person.ever.needs. Christmas's growing up for me were always very extravagant. Not necessarily any one thing being expensive, but just LOTS of stuff. This year, my girls are getting some of the girl legos (the actual house and vet center), American girl dolls, digital camera, and perhaps a new Fire. That's pretty much IT! I love their faces for the few minutes while opening everything, but then we have 364 days of fighting about stuff not being taken care of, of being all over the floor, of not being kept picked up! So, less is more
cRabago Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I will be going next weekend and putting some stuff on layaway at toysrus for my son. I save all year for black friday, so I will be out there getting some good deals...Can't Wait!
tinkrbel Posted September 11, 2012 Posted September 11, 2012 I want to get DSs nice watches for Christmas. Movado or Tag Heuser I hopeI don't know about those brands but Amazon often has expensive watches at ridiculous discounts. I want to say I recall Tag as one of them.
mamat2011 Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I have started with stocking stuffers and found a really cute outfit for my gd at wallyworld. I really need to get my lists completed so I can check items off; which is my favorite part.
jskarp Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 I've bought a few stocking stuffers...but I will be waiting til beginning of November when the deals start flying! I plan to end my shopping on Black Friday (except for a few Amazon lightening deals )...can't wait!!
Elmck Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Stockings are almost finished, just need candy and gum. I also got dd9 a few more things off her list that I did not think I would find cheaper on BF. Mom and I went through everything I have put away this past year and I have all the teachers and friends done. I still have plenty to get between now and Christmas but no one else has given me a list. Well, my oldest DD did say she wanted some kind of mop from Bed bath & beyond!!!
lesomom Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Have a few stocking stuffers, got my daughter a few gifts also have gotten some great candle deals on the forum for those miscellaneous gifts! Can't wait for BF! Sent from my iPhone using GottaDeal
BFQueenofNY Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I have started. Even though my Target clearance was horrid, I did find a few to put away. I may put a big Lego I know will only go on sale close to Christmas on layaway since it is $120 and I am afraid of the availability closer to Christmas.
shopping4my3son Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I might do some this week. I have some Kohl's cash to use and also Best Buy rewards.
tokanm Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I picked up a few random gifts at Target on clearance.....70% off:tongue1:
magickallight Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I start mine on Christmas Day - for the next year (if I can sneak away and get on the computer.)
angelbabymommy Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I haven't started yet; still trying to get my dds' lists together. dd10, I told, I need her list by the end of the month and dd4, I just haven't started hers really. I have a couple of things in mind like the walk & giggle doll, innotab2 (and accessories) and the graco toy baby high chair, car seat and playpen. dd10 is getting a kindle fire, a Bieber bedroom set and whatever else might be on her list. So, it looks like, I'll be starting end of Sept/mid Oct, which is when I started last year.
MrMiser Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 My In-Laws are buying my DD17 a laptop for Christmas\B-day and I got to do the shopping. Since back to school seems to be a good time to get a laptop (I bought one last year and never saw a better price during BF season with same specs) I recently pulled the trigger on a Lenovo. Lenovo is formerly IBM. Got the pc for $595 AFTER tax plus I'm getting a 100 rebate. PC normally $750. So for $495 total got a pc with these specs: 8 GM ram Intel 3rd gen i5 CPU 750 GB HD 15.6 screen, web cam, etc I had some trepidation with buying so far ahead of the season but after my good experience last year I'm thinking I won't see a screaming deal that beats what I got (yes, you'll see cheaper laptops but for comparable specs I'm hoping not). Two years in a row I've gone with Staples - easy rebates and solid sales. Good luck to all you laptop\tablet hunters this year.
katwkittens Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 ^^^ Think my son bought the same lappy for his GF for Christmas! Lenovo Thinkpad from Staples? Although I think he paid a little less. Bought it during our state's tax-free weekend with a back-to-school sale instant savings, $150 coupon on a Lenovo laptop and the $100 rebate (he requested a check vs. the pre-paid visa, which he did just receive), for under $400. Great deal for Christmas, found a great laptop backpack at Ross to go with it!
noehlp Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I have yet to start holiday shopping. I will probably wait until Black Friday, or there about.
MrMiser Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 kat... I think your son got the deal I missed, same laptop went back on sale and I picked it up. Yep, I'm pretty sure the deal your son got was even better than what I got.
tyreejames Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I haven't started shopping but I have started my lists for each child...we just brought our first home and I am still getting that together. I anticipate being able to start shopping the beginning of October
mommy2twingles Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 I have started. My daughter loves Monster High so I have been picking up the new dolls as they come out. Boys are getting some legos I got on clearance throughout the year. There is always more to buy but I like to spread out the spending
lcplwinkerswife Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I have bought one present for my dd3 , pocahontas on dvd lol . wyntyrose Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I started this week. I used kohl's cash and the free shipping to get my daughter the furreal friends baby butterscotch which is one of two things she wants this year. Now to decided what to get 13 year old and 8 year old boys.
mcwalker Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I will probably start shopping online along with my BF research around the beginning of November, with most of the shopping starting in earnest on BF and afterwards.
dawn09 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 I haven't started as of yet, but will this weekend. I am planning on having everything bought by Black Friday. Although I am sure that even after that I will probably find more to buy, I can't seem to stop when it comes to Christmas shopping!

momof3luvs1 Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Ordered the Jake and the neverland pirate ship from Amazon today, since it was a hot toy I dont predict it having a huge sale...my son wants a bunch of other things but that is the main thing he wants so Im just glad to actually know I have it!
hockeyfanamo Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Ordered DH's sight for his patrol rifle today. One more big gift down!
