saturnboy01 Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Some stores if you use debit will give $$ back others will give "credit" back to your debit card. Each store is different. The best way and quickest way to get a refund is to pay cash and have a receipt with you!
ryleeblack Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Thanks you guys for your quick response. ^^
happyrat Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Always credit for everything for the cash back. Then pay it in full everymonth. 1% cash back from the cc company and 1.5% interest from the checking account for the money I put off spending for the month.

BubbleTea Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 How does a mail in rebate work if you use a credit card? Do you get a check, or is it credited back to your CC account? Sorry, I've never bought anything with a mail in rebate with a credit card before.

buckwheat_jegc Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Questions about debit cards... -If you return the item, how is the money debited back into your account?-Would there be any differences in returning the item ( cash or debit )? -Is it easy and simple to return the item and get your money back? I don't feel comfortable carrying loads of cash on me, so I'm considering my options. Once I figure out how it works. LoL. Thanks! Debit cards work just like credit cards.
scrappynik Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I don't like carrying cash, especially around the holidays. We'll be using debit cards. If you pay with a CREDIT card, it gets credited back to your account. If you pay with a DEBIT card, majority of the time, you get cash back.

It's easiest to use a debit/credit card as funds are credited back to your account. If you pay with cash and it's over a certain amount (I think $300), they will NOT refund you in cash. You will receive a check via mail which could take 1-2 weeks.
