Opinions sought on BB, BF modus operandi

In my area (Atlanta), of the national chains participating in BF, BB has the longest lines. Last year at 5AM, there was a minimum of 2000 people on line in the North Suburbs.

Note: We also have one Frys that had a bigger line, and the one Brandsmart we had, had 10,000 people in the parking lot with 2000 in the store. We have since gotten one more Brandsmart.

In the past the best of the best sale items usually ended up with each store having a very limited supply.

Now the posted scans show the $379 laptop with a tag on it “Fri ‘till Noon”. But lower down you have “Shop Early, Get them while they last”.

Last year, knowing that the chances were nil of getting a top item, the mine just wasn’t worth joining. What do people think about this year?

BTW- I did notice that if some BF items were not selling well, they do begin to offer them online, some time in the morning.

From past experience, I'd say the chances are, you'll have around 2000 people lined up outside your BB...

BB will be sold out of the Laptops/Plasmas within the first 1/2 hour ... anybody who wants one, and stops to ask the opinion of the sales nerd, will loose out ...

If you want one, be there very early If you just want the 20" LCD etc, be there early, cos they aren't gonna last much longer :-D

What BB did you go to? I am wanting to go this year as well, but I dont want a TV or computer. i want a MP3 player and Arrested Development Box Sets. If you went to North Point or Mall of GA, try a diff one. Those are the 2 busiest places on BF. I am planning on lining up around midnight or so. I hope thats early enough! If you are serious, PM me and I will tell you where I am going, maybe we can meet up and sleep in shifts.
