LuvJoyLunaDawg
Oh this is so hard to resist at $103 shipped! But I have laptops and memory cards, and all that to buy on BF...
civicracinggirl7
I think Target has them for $99.99 or so, and with a 10% off that'd bring it to $90. I'll probably be buying my boyfriend one of these for xmas.

I'll probably be buying my boyfriend one of these for xmas.target has the lowest price (free shipping + 10% off coupon), BUT the expected delivery is in the first week of jan. 2006! sharper image has these for $120 and there's a $30 off $150 coupon code out there. walmart only has the red saber in stock. i'm leaning toward buying it from sharper image because they have a hassle free 2 or 3 year product replacement policy if the item is defective. edit: oops! the 2 or 3 year product replacement policy costs $20-$30. whatever happened to their old policy of "lifetime" satisfaction guaranteed? gijimenez
What is so different about this one. My son has like 4 of them. He has star wars fever. Can't wait till it passes.
depphead
This isn't one that expands to a long lightsaber; not the toy by Hasbro. It is much more realistic looking and sounding. It makes several different sounds, power up (and lights "up" the blade) power down, clash, hum, etc... My son also has several of those but now really wants one (two actually) that is as close to a real one he'll ever get !!

I believe that when it's turned on the light comes up from the bottom, which I'm told is more like in the movie (I haven't watched the movies since I was too little to really remember them). If you do a search for them online, you can find a video of a couple of people using them in a replica battle lol. My bf is a huge SW buff, and when I showed him them he decided he had to have one. LuvJoyLunaDawg
For those who asked, these are the coolest things ever. They power up exactly like a real one (sound+light), when you hold them still they have idle sounds, and when you hit somehting with them they make different clashing sounds. They are just so cool.
