Buckeye Shopper
I purchased an ipad 2 for dh for Christmas. I was looking for suggestions of what would be helpful to go with it. I would like to get him some type of cover, but unsure of what type to get. If you have one, please tell me what works well and what doesn't as far as accessories. Thanks! freesia39
Buy the iPad2 Smart Cover.http://www.apple.com/ipad/smart-cover/ It's the best one out there. It's worth the price. When you put the cover over the iPad, it turns it off, lift the cover, it turns it back on. The cover also folds back into a stand to prop it up on a table. Everyone at work that has an iPad (you should see some meetings I attend) has this cover, and has it propped up. If he's going to write on his iPad, someone at work recommended the notes App - it's like 5 bucks - but you must buy the stylus for it to work the best. It allows you to write on your ipad, then it will email you a pdf of what you wrote. Great for meetings.
Inked
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004WHI9L4?ie=UTF8&force-full-site=1 It depends what type of case you want. I had the original iPad and Apple cover and wanted something similar for my iPad 2. I wanted it to be enclosed on all sides, be durable, and not add bulk. Professional looking and leather was a plus. After much research I found Yoobau. The Yoobao is my favorite, even over the Apple case. It's real leather, slim yet protective and looks great. It also has the feature of turning on your iPad when you open the cover (if you choose). I liked it so much I ordered two more for my parents (one of each color). AYL has great customer service and fast shipping. Oh and an iTunes gift card so he can grab some iTunes sales. There are always great sales on the app store during the holidays. If it's going to live in a cover skip the dock. The extra long cord is nice as the one included is so short. I use the one that came with my MacBook. Maybe a cradle or stand to home it on his desk. Kibit13
DH really likes the wireless keyboard and his stylus. He's tried the Pogo and the Targus and was happy with them both.

Just make sure you know that you cannot do a return. they will take a product back if it is defective, but no returns allowed so they can keep their prices low. That's where we buy all of our phone / Ipod accessories!
