vonnyb Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Does Walmart do some sort of restock during the early bird? Two years ago when Walmart had the DVD/VCR Combos on sale. One of my friends was able to get one at about 9:30 am where as when I left the same store at about 7:30 am they seemed to be all out. She said the pallet was full and there was no fighting over them.
elena_398 Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Last year for the really cheap dvd players, I went back to Walmart that night for something and a new pallet of them was right when you first walked into store.
ebony0421 Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 I think at some stores they may restock the "hot" items, but it depends on management. If there are alot of Walmart shoppers in your area and the manager wants to make :gd_dollar , they will restock.
cherry33778 Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 I think they restock most of the electronics right after the 5 a.m. rush, so that way their employees won't get mauled. I know that's one job I don't want to do.:)
Guest all2tired Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 My WM had pallets all over the store filled with the dvd players. You couldn't go down any aisle without seeing one. There had to be thousands of the players there
rosegarden Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 I don't usually shop Wal-Mart early as it is dangerous here but I know that a few hours later, sometimes the stuff is still in stock so I assume they've restocked?

elena_398 Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Im sure items such as the laptop, camera, and SP systems will not. Im thinking its going to be a rush getting those
mcmahonfan Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 at our wal-mart store we restock as soon as the first pallet is gone. we also tend to keep the sale on stuff going if we have any left past the time it says. but alot of time the really good stuff is already gone. So if there is a particular item you want you better be there when the doors open. I showed the list to my store manager last night he didn't know about the list or that it was out. he is hoping we get alot of laptops and such but individual stores have no say in how many they get. I can't wait til Black Friday I have always thought it was exciting even if you are just working at the time.

nnmfam Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I wonder if you can order BF stuff on line thanksgiving day from walmart at Bf prices. I did it last year it ws so worth it.
VonnegutFan Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 I don't believe that lappy offer will be online. The 10 dollar case yes, but not the laptop.
ShawnainKY02 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 At the WM here, at which I use to work, they usually had more than one pallet of most items. They would bring out one pallet, then when it started to get low they would bring out another. Last year though, they had a couple of duplicate pallets out. I think how they do it is up to the store management.
casbug10 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Our WM had more pallets out later in the day but not of everything.
