elena_398 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I want to find a legit site for a letter from santa this year for my daughter. I signed up last year and she never got it . I bought a letter from someone on ebay. Though I got my money back from paypal, its unfortunate that she never got a chance to get it. Does anyone do this for their children? I think she would love this as she is still a "believer!" Do you know when you start signing up. Obviously not now, but was wondering if I should start looking by 12/1. Thanks for any info on this!
Gporter34 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 I ran across a site the other day that was for "Letters from Santa". I will try to find it again. It looked like a really good site.

starshine Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 if you want a pretty instant reply you could have your daughter email santa. My son loves it and Santa will email her every week or so with news form the north pole you can even pick a elf to email her. My son loves it. Here is the site address http://www.claus.com/index.php
Guest all2tired Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Here's one I used last year. http://www.aaasouth.com/newsletter/1204/santa/1204_santaletter.asp
elena_398 Posted November 2, 2005 Author Posted November 2, 2005 Thanks so much. Im sure my daughter will love a call and/or a letter from Santa.
alimfp Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Wow, thanks. This is such a cute idea. And if you get a letter, a keepsake for the kids if they are young now... or maybe that's the hoarder in me.
elena_398 Posted November 2, 2005 Author Posted November 2, 2005 I definately plan to keep the letter for my daughter. My mom kept so many items from different years I grew up. She just recently gave me my keepsake box. I love looking through it. Especially with my children.
sbaldasare Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Current does the letters also. Try them at "currentcatalog"

holly2hottie Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I was just at Dollar tree and they have little kits. One is letter to Santa with paper and envelopes to write him a letter. The other is from santa that parents can send. The paper is letterhead from Santa and the envelope says from the northpole. really cute and only $1 per kit.
codeblue Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I leave a note next to the empty plate of cookies and empty glass of milk.
best4less Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 Hey, here is a site where you can get a personalized letter from Santa for free- you have to print it out yourself though: http://freesantaletter.netfirms.com/

Thanks for any info on this! You know what, I do this for my own children each year. I really go into detail about the years events for the kids....... what they accomplished....... what they need to work on...... etc. I also print out matching labels for the kids gifts from santa so they really think Santa is 'real'. If you would like me to, I'd be glad to help you out..... I'd just need you to give me some info to personalize it and I'll even mail it to you for free... It'll bring me joy to know that I helped your children get to experience the magic of christmas and believing! Amy

I plan on sending them to my grandchildren. Nana aka Santa
smileydale Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 My local grocery store has 4 generic letters with envelopes. You address the envelope to your children, place a stamp on them and drop them in the mail box. I don't know if you have anything like this near you, but I did it for my kids last year and they were very excited. They are still real young (now 4, 3, and 19 months) so they didn't realize I addressed the letters. :holiday01
nellyhill Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 My sister lives 6 miles from North Pole, Alaska. She has a friend write a letter to each of my kids then mails them from the North Pole. The kids love it.
wf2afcop Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Some great ideas posted, thanks!! My kids are going to love getting a letter from Santa!!

plockh Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Other websites to check out...some more spendy than others..some more personalized than others. I did this for my grandsons last year...will do it again this year but with a different letter...also will look into dollar tree kits...sound great. Sites are. www.letterfromsanta.org; www.santaletters1.tripod.com; www.santaclaus.itgo.com. Good joy to you!
Jenniferharrison82 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Thanks for all the great links. I am definetly going to send for one this year.
Momto32003 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 I write my own. I just buy paper from Office Depot for Factory Card Outlet and write mine the night before. That way I can personalize it to what the kids wrote to Santa the night before. It is not only cheaper but that way I know my kids will get there letter.
jessicaw Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 I just do it myself! You can spend money on fancy paper, or if you have stamps or stickers (such as if your a scrapbooker) you can do it for next to nothing!
