Facemob Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Do you think there will be an nice price for the ipods. I hope walmart, bestbuy, and circutcity has an good price.
copados1993 Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 BB will be the best. Just expect to wait in a REALLY long line! Just watch all the crazy people tying to beat you in the door!
bytch_mynickname Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I thought ipods were set at a price by apple? From what I heard, the stores don't make much of a profit on them.
holly2hottie Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I want one too for my husband. I am hoping there are some good deals.
ebony0421 Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 My daughter wants an IPOD, but I bought her an MP3 player, lol. My husband told me that all the teenagers want them, but how likely are we to get a good one;) at a reasonable price? Were there any deals last year? Thanks.
RCWC Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 I live in Mexico and the local Office Depot has the 40 GB IPods (old 4th Generation) at less then $200 dlls, I would expect the prices of the remaining inventory to be slashed everywhere. RC_WC

earwax21 Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 please keep in mind- pc requirements for ipods are windows 2000 or xe-those of us stuck in the past and running windows 98 or 98 se will probably have to go with the mp3 players from creative labs. they are the only ones i have found that will work with all operating systems-except win95, of course!!

copados1993 Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 My husband just bought an IPOD, and he swears by it that it's the best thing!!! It would make a great Christmas gift!!!
Facemob Posted November 3, 2005 Author Posted November 3, 2005 Ipod is one of the best items to have!
phatlipp Posted November 3, 2005 Posted November 3, 2005 I'd love to get one but to tell the truth would be suprised to find great deals on them.
Guest BrownCow Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Target occasionally offers 10% off for on-line purchases and they carry iPods. Other than that, the Apple education store noted above is the best bet.
Guest BrownCow Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 More specifically, use this code for an iPod at Target.com thru 12/31/05 for 10% off, no minimum: TCADVCBN
missyjane Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Apple Ipod for $159.99 http://www.consumerdepot.com/products.asp?id=20GBIPODNEW First Time Posting a Website. Hope I did it right.
makofali Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 yeah i work at bby prices are set my apple the older ones are cheaper now
Rusdude Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 If you want a 4 Gb black nano right now for $199, try your nearest Microcenter. They made a price mistake in their latest flyer and put $199 instead of $249, but they're still honoring the price until the stock runs out in stores. There's a limit of one per customer and there're reports that they'll actually ship them to you if you call them and pay for shipping to your state/city. Slickdeals.net (as well as FatWallet) has a thread with a scan of the ad and me people succeeded in price-matching in Circuit City and Best Buy, but it really depends on the cashier/manager. That's about as hot of a deal as you can get on a spanking new Nano.
PKGentry Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Best price for the iPod Photo 60GB (from a reputable dealer, anyway) is bhphotovideo.com -- $335 with free shipping. Costco is $380 for the same thing, CC and BB are $400.
Guest cantweshare Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Anybody know where I can get a 4GB ipod mini (pink or blue)?
rosegarden Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Historically, the Apple items don't go on sale. Their price is set by the company. Not sure how they get away with that as Nike and many others have gotten slapped for price fixing
Marcster Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Anybody know where I can get a 4GB ipod mini (pink or blue)?Ebay will be your best bet, but it looks like used ones are going for more then they sold for when new.
mlmom2henry Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 musiciansfriend.com has the u2 one for $279
shopping mom Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 My 17 year old wants an ipod too. I talk to one of the workers at Best Buy and he said they would not go on sale. Does he really know?? If they do I will be one happy mom ( As long as I get one)
c3rn3r Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Has anyone try this? Does this really work for the 60GB ipod video? $399 - $30 - $30 = $339 + tax. If you go to the apple store online and put your items in a cart and save the cart, after about two days, they'll contact you via email with a coupon code for $30 off your order. Then purchase your items through their educational discount on-line and save an additional $30. Do I really need to be a teacher to get the educational discount? It ddoesn't ask for any type of verificaion.
PPanda65 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I bought one from the Apple Education site. I am a PTA President and that was one of the options. You do have to enter your school name and zip code.
Aaron Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I thought ipods were set at a price by apple? From what I heard, the stores don't make much of a profit on them. They are. You will not find a different price unless you're using a store coupon like 15% off and then it would be different.
sunprincess831 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I'm crossing my fingers some store will have an ipod deal because my husband is dying for one. I know last year Sam's Club had some good deals on them! (of course my hubby didn't want one them )
Facemob Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 I really want an ipod!! I hope some stores have an sale.
Great Dane Mom Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 Has anyone try this? Does this really work for the 60GB ipod video? $399 - $30 - $30 = $339 + tax. Then purchase your items through their educational discount on-line and save an additional $30. I did this. Apple sent me a $30 additional discount to use if I spent $300 or more. I got the 30gb Ipod (personalized), a $15 itunes gc, and a clickshield shipped to me for $292.15. I'm happy and I'm sure my 15 year old "Rock on!" daughter will be thrilled. Thanks so much to the OP and to GottaDeal for saving me money!
