I've lost track as well. Excluding all the movies and extra Wii games that I bought for myself (and weren't budgeted), about $800 (significantly less than past years). But retailers and gohastings got a lot more than that of my money on stuff I bought for myself and household goods...deals too good to pass up. lol Edited by SuggaD

Hard to tell since I did it over a 6 month period, maybe around 500.00 for everyone including the 22 coworkers (goodie bags and secret santa stuff). Have bought stuff as I saw it in many cases, usually at a great price. Having teens made it a little easier in a way, they want cash which they are getting iou's for, will come from tax return as dh has been sick and bills have been high, but they have asked for portable hard drives and digital cameras which I bought as they were on sale.

Honestly? I've lost track and I'm not really sure I want to know...

Yup!! Def that!! I spent WAY more then I planned to but its gonna be a great Christmas =)

We also donated to charity WAY more then we usually do and that took a large chunk of our budget but it was TOTALLY worth it =)

This thread made me figure it out.

Amazon $837

Toysrus $554

Walmart $220

Menards $379

Ebay $192

JCPenny $125

Bath&Body $206

Meijer $96

Disney $16

Target $116

WW&Chadwicks $101

Meritline$44

If I did the math right, that $2886

Still have to buy a laptop

However, it was all in cash and I was lucky to win $2500 jackpot at the casino in November! :tongue1:

My two younger ds's are getting dirtbikes, my oldest a nice laptop and greenscreen kit.

My dh is getting an hd zune, his own Xbox and they are all getting kinect.

The best part is, DH and the kids don't know I won that money, so they are going to die when they see what they get!

As for me, just seeing the look on their faces is the BEST present!

We were very blessed this year. Usually, I spend about $1500. The jackpot helped. Plus I was able to give my mom $ to help her, because she is having a hard time. Plus, with gottadeal, I just get soooo much for sooo little! Love you guys! ;)

This thread got me to think too:

Paid all cash. no credit card debt at all..

10 yr old daughter: Not exact, but she got a 37" tv, component stand, wall mount, and dvd blue ray player, plus all her other items: Around $800 dollars altogether

16 yr old son: Ipod Touch 32 GB, case, Xbox Kinect, games plus all his other items (xbox 360 headset, Harddrive, Xbox live card etc): Around $600-$800

My nieces and nephews: $100 or so

Parents Giftcards etc:$100

Husband: Laptop, Michigan snuggie, Michigan Hoodie/hat, and wallet, and GPS unit: $550 or so.

Total is around $3000 spent. had $2000 saved in cash the rest came out of my checking using my debit card.

I have spent about $600.00 each on my two oldest DD's. About $800.00 each on my two DS's, and about $150.00 on the baby. So that is about $3950.00. Nothing on DH. About $25.00 on each of our neices and nephews so that is another $400.00. About $200.00 on my mom, $25.00 on my brother. I buy for one of my aunts $30.00. We will give FIL $500.00 and MIL $500.00. So our total will be about 5600.00. Wow, I did not realize we spent that much. Our's to is all cash unless I used a card for perks and then pay it off right away.

I just figured this out yesterday. We are Dave Ramsey fans and try to do cash only but our income plummeted this year and we used up our savings and turned to credit cards again for the holidays.

I budgeted $385.00. I spent $460. $350 was cash, the rest was on credit. this is for 11 people.

THEN our computer died($400), our TV died soon after($220), so we got a bluray too ($90). Dh needed new work boots($140) and couldnt wait until spring like planned. We bought a Wii($212 w/75 gc), and a Keurig($60)...im still thinking about returning it cause I feel guilty buying it on credit. (Im sure Dave would tell me too.) Anyway it is close to $1100 extra, unplanned, and unmanaged money. UGH.

Too much. :) Had to shop for 7 people, and we also adopted 3 local families and a bunch of extras for the less fortunate. So sad that some people really want necessities for the holidays. I wish I could give more.

DS 16 got a new 3D TV, PS3, clothes, money, games, etc. Probably around $2,000.

DS 8 is easier, he got a few games, nerf, telescope, toys. Probably around $800.

DH I spent about $500 on, but got some great deals and used my best buy rewards bucks, which I had about $100. :)

My FIL has been out of work for about 2 years, so I had to help out. Spent about $1000 for him to buy presents for MIL, and 2 SILS.

Presents for the four of them too, from us, about 2500.

And teacher gifts... about $200 for that.

And finally presents for the town families, about $500. Ummmm... maybe I shouldn't add it up. lol But, everything is PAID for. :) I do USE credit cards, for the rewards, but PIF when I get the bill or sooner. :)

Hmmmm probably $500 - 600 total. (And that would be generous) I shop all year so my outlay this time of year is low. (But those Daily Deals do add up fast! And all those boxes of fudge covered ritz crackers my Dad will soon be unwrapping. LOL!:D)

And I have already spend $90 on next years Christmas Gifts. (2 holiday sweaters (clearance) from Kohl's, 2 pairs of P.J's from Disney Store (b1g1), a NWT Bugs Bunny Jean Jacket & a NWT cat sweater both found on Ebay.)

Today I was a "big" spender I spent $67.87 on groceries for a sick (cancer), uninsured neighbor. Just a gentle reminder, as tough as things are right now, if I can find $690 to spend on Christmas gifts for family and friends, I can find a tithe (10%) to put food on the table for someone else.

Wishing you all a very blessed, joy-filled Christmas!

(Only thing left for me to do now is keep the old people out of NEXT YEAR's presents!)
