natansyd Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 There are some Kmarts that are going out of business with little to no notice. I went in to put a layaway in and I spent an HOUR putting stuff in my cart. The signs for layaway were everywhere. I get to the counter and the lady said "I hope you aren't planning on putting that in layaway. This store doesn't do that no more." I point to the HUGE signs for layaway and she was like "Yeah, well we are closing in a month." I asked a friend who already had a layaway in if she had been notified and she said she has not. I hope they don't plan on just closing without honoring the layaway or letting people know ahead of time.

samisma Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 is there a way we can find out what ones are closing? the layaway is nice but i would hate to do it and the store close a week before we get it out. I was thinking the same thing. We already have some things on layaway there....

samisma Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 :sigh: so i went up to where we have our layaway at lunch today since it's near my work. they wouldn't give me a straight answer, and the manager looked very uncomfortable. i cancelled the layaway since i didn't budget to pay it off early. we just put it on layaway friday, so rather safe then sorry.
