Brad Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 Despite this message, Ace is still better than other retailers who shall remain nameless. This thing with Ace started a few years ago when we posted their ad in August and it ended up being a preliminary version and some items were changed for the final version. Ever since then they've asked us to not post it early with the agreement that they will send us a final copy as soon as it's ready which they have done the last few years as promised. I don't remember them ever sending a firm legal request from a lawyer, but I think they are being fair in asking us to wait until they have it finalized. As long as we post it at least a week before BF, it gives everyone plenty of time to look at the ad and do whatever research is needed.

jaymacfla Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 In small towns where ACE has built newer stores they do very well and their personal nature is winning back customers in droves. Walmart is a joke for supplies, so ACE does fill a niche.

Because of this, I always end up buying stuff from there after I've dropped off packages. I can't wait to see their ad for this year!

We have a brand new WM store, and we find what we need at Ace more than we do at WM. Plus they have a great rewards card that you get gift cards after spending so much there. Last year after BF, we had spent enough there that we got a $5 gift card in January. I know it doesn't seem like a ton, but it's enough to get you back in the store! They also have Craftsman tools in the store now too. If you haven't been in one lately, check it out!
