lovebears65 Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Anyone else bummed they are not going out on Black Fri.. I am not saying for sure but I do not need any high ticket items. My kids want clothes video game , cologne and shoes. I probably go out but later in the day but I sure will miss camping out.Next year they willl need new computers so I guess I can look forward to that
tinkrbel Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I'm not camping out but never have. I have been pushing it earlier for the last few years not sure why though since nothing gotta have or door buster.
magickallight Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 Never camped out, myself... stood in line for 3 hours prior to doors opening - but never camped out...
doublehsmom Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I haven't ever camped out but I have also stood in line for 3hours waiting for a store to open!
mgmckny Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I might go out early for the thrill but at this moment the boys only want money... I have one of them done with a couple of small items and they will probably get some clothes and stockings of course. Too early to tell, ask me in November...LOL
bigjimslade Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I think everyone should camp at least once. It is a experience I find fun and thrilling. tinkrbel Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I think everyone should camp at least once. It is a experience I find fun and thrilling. If I had a port-o-poddy I would definitely consider it especially with our weather. Maybe I'll check out the best buy near the house week of Thanksgiving. Although between a late night Taco Bell and Publix in same shopping center I should maybe be good?
SuggaD Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 No camping out this year. Didn't camp out last year either. We just don't need anything worth camping out for. I miss the thrill of the experience though.
Rockfordmom Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 How can you know what you're doing yet when the ads aren't even out yet?
Mursilis Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I think everyone should camp at least once. It is a experience I find fun and thrilling. Never got the camping "thrill". Maybe if my friends/family did it also, I could see it, but they don't, so I'm usually solo on BF, and I've never waited in line more than an hour. None of the deals are worth more than an hour's wait.
bigjimslade Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 For me it is Tradition! Now I have the Fiddler on the Roof in my head. How can you know what you're doing yet when the ads aren't even out yet?
dad2trips Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 How can you know what you're doing yet when the ads aren't even out yet? I'm with bigjim on this. My buds and I camp out every year. When it's all over we look at each other and say, "OK, who is in for next year?". This year none of us need anything really, but we always buy items for friends and family. Last year my list was 22 items for 11 different folks. The campout for us is more of a tailgate party that last 2 days (we set up on Wednesday). We really have fun with the whole experience!
Klownicle Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Last year was he first year I camped out. Its fun, so thats why I do it.
tdanette Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 I've never camped out. No one to camp with lol. Besides, hardly anyone ever shows up before 3am BF around here anyway.
Klownicle Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I've never camped out. No one to camp with lol. Besides, hardly anyone ever shows up before 3am BF around here anyway. You do realize you're screwed now... Never give up your timings...
mcwalker Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 I've never camped out. No one to camp with lol. Forget wildlife and natural scenery, lets camp....in a parking lot!
BFJunkie17 Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 For me this year will be the first time that I camp out. It seems like a fun experience. :)

You may find that a certain computer is just right, and shop a year earlier to get it.
JohnnyLaRue Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 Never camped. Stayed in line 4 hours with friends once. That's about it for me. My memory is not great but last year I think I got a camera at Best Buy for my long vacation I took (was in line 45 minutes), year before that I ummm was in line for 4 hours with friends? I forget cause there was one year my Japanese ex visited me and she was shocked about BF and did not like it. That is a whole other post.... This year of course I will be too far away and might shop online if shipping prices are fair. Though I am sure midnight USA time is about 10am here so I will be at work of course.

I was questioning people that are saying that nothing good will be on sale or that the ads won't be good this year or they don't need anything on sale, my question was to them - How do you know? I don't specifically know what I will be buying, but I know that I will be going out.
dealluvr Posted October 7, 2010 Posted October 7, 2010 i have never camped but thought it would be a blast plus nobody to do it with, etc oh well
sleepster69 Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 Like Big Jim, I live in Texas and although the weather doesn't always cooperate, I have been camping out for BF since early 90's. I can remember going to BB at 2 am and being in the first 10 in line. Wow how times have changed. Most of the kids are grown now so we just do it to hang out with friends and make new ones. There always seems to be something that will make a great gift or two and like I said it is a TRADITION.:)
racerfan Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 i have never camped but thought it would be a blast plus nobody to do it with, etc oh well Where are you in NJ I am in PA on the border of NY/NJ/PA. If you are close you can always come hang out with me and my Sister.
tishasmith Posted October 8, 2010 Posted October 8, 2010 I've done my BF shopping all online the last 2 years. :)
babygirl913 Posted October 10, 2010 Posted October 10, 2010 I've never camped out. I'm praying I get off this day. If I'm off and can go out, I plan to get on the road around 3:30
