Still...sad that "ONLY IN STORE" for a lot of the items. Kinda makes the whole "no black Friday" thing seem pointless.

Not excited on any adds so far....hoping Walmart can save it for me.

Since so many stores are having early sales, are there any that are offering free shipping ONLY for BF weekend? Is there a list of places offering free shipping?

I'm an OLD BF participant. My wife and I were 1st in line several times, years back in the late 90's..My kids were little and we camped at BB EVERY year. Started going at 1 or 2 in the AM and people thought we were nuts. Met some good friends and up until recently have continued the ritual. Last time we 'camped out' was probably 4-5 years ago when we spent Turkey day in a tent freezing and taking turns going home to cook T-day diner for our campmates and us!!!

Was waiting on this for laptops. A few options here. Now just need to compare some of the other options out today!!

so the add is vague. when does the sale actually start and do we know when they open? Thurs of Fri?

I plan on using a dock and connecting at least one monitor. Wanted to keep it under 500. Need to have all the normal such as DVD / CD. Want 8 gb memory min. also would like Intel i5 min

I'm looking for a home office laptop...possibly docking to simplify things but never have done it. I see Dell's office ad but what other options are recommended? I want to balance performance with cost. Not a gamer anymore so don't need super high performance or graphics.

Ok, so now Big Lots, TSC, Hobby Lobby, Bath and Body, what used to be Comp USA-now Tiger Direct? Have to agree ads did seem to come earlier without all the build up of the past, but then when the holiday keeps getting pushed up further......

We too have had to change our traditions to match these new times. We live in DFW area and like big Jim, we started off at ihop on bf morning and would "camp out" at about 3am at best buy and be in the first 5 or 10 in line. Keep in mind this was 12 years ago. Years pass and our camp out has gotten to thanksgiving day and one of our group actually cooks diner and brings it back to the line. Usually in the top ten in line Finally kids are older and now bb isn't our main stop last year we had dinner at home, went to cvs and shopped then rested till Wal-Mart Prob same this year
