angelic680 Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Im going to Orlando Florida July 28 - Aug 5 and i need a great deal on car rentals.... I cant find anything under $300.....
Marcster Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 Are you picking up a car in Orlando or are you trying to pick something up in NJ and drive down?
angelic680 Posted July 10, 2010 Author Posted July 10, 2010 picking up car in orlando airport would be best.......thxs for noticing
Marcster Posted July 10, 2010 Posted July 10, 2010 picking up car in orlando airport would be best.......thxs for noticing No problem. My Mom and Dad do quite a bit of traveling and Dad always finds the best deals through RentalCarMamma.com. http://www.rentalcarmomma.com/cities/orlando.htm
AndreaInNC Posted July 12, 2010 Posted July 12, 2010 I always go through the airline's websites when looking for car rental. They all have discounts on different car companys and give you frequent flier mileage credit. If you belong to AAA, you can also call them to see what they can offer.
angelic680 Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 No problem. My Mom and Dad do quite a bit of traveling and Dad always finds the best deals through RentalCarMamma.com. http://www.rentalcarmomma.com/cities/orlando.htmwow that site was ok but still the same prices....damn
Marcster Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 wow that site was ok but still the same prices....damnIt could be that those are the best prices available...
biomajor Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Do you have an entertainment book. Sometimes there are coupons in them. I think that may be the best price, especially since It's 9 days, and you can typically get a good deal for a week, but extra days are charged at full price
angelic680 Posted July 13, 2010 Author Posted July 13, 2010 yeah.....i cant even find a deal on one week.....as for the entertainment book i have to ask around.....i dont have one....
KoopawnKode Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 Try this Orbitz link: CLICK HERE and enter this coupon code for Budget Rent-A-Car: Z959200 (select Budget) in the bottom menu. I don't know what size/time you're looking to pick up, but if you pick up at a non-airport location, you'll typically get better rates. I'm showing $253 for economy car to $274 for Standard car. (for the entire length of stay, not per week) Good luck :)
rachealb Posted July 13, 2010 Posted July 13, 2010 does it matter what kind of car you get? Some of the companies I found on expedia are running a "special special" and a "standard special" deal- we got ours reserved for 208.60 total for eight days (that is in Pittsburgh, not Orlando, but they might be running similar deals other places). Also, we have had more than one reservation at this point- I booked the cheapest I found, but just kept searching until I found lower. Hotwire has good "last minute deals" too sometimes, though theirs you sometimes have to pay in advance (the reservation we have on Expedia did not have to be prepaid, we reserved the "standard special" so we know we will at least get a "standard" size car and not a compact)
angelic680 Posted July 14, 2010 Author Posted July 14, 2010 It doesnt matter what kind of car i have there is only 3 of us going....i just found out that our hotel charges $15 a day to park a car so now i really need a good deal on a rental. I would like to pick the car up @ the airport so i dont have to pay a taxi .....this is such a pain!!! thanks for all the help so far!!
KoopawnKode Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 if you're referring to my post above, you need to select the car rental company (Budget) and a box will open where the Customer Discount Number should go.

jta Posted July 23, 2010 Posted July 23, 2010 Go to priceline.com and start bidding on one. It does have to be prepaid. Try every day
CindyIUP Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 I agree with jta, priceline.com, and enter the price you want to pay and see if it's accepted.
