Brad
Very nice deal for anyone who wants a loaded laptop. The configs are pretty loaded anyway, and you can upgrade a few things and also get 45% off those.

Zanjabeel
Hi My first post on the forum. Thanks for the great deals. Is this deal worth using for the 9300 or the 6000 or is it better off waiting for the 40% off deal? Reason being that I don't need some of the options that you can't change in the configurations they have given. Is the 40% off deal likely to come around any time soon? Thanks! Zanjabeel
Good question. I say you should just get it now. You know you want that laptop. You can smell it. You can taste it! lol I can :) Do you know if the Dell site only accepts US credit cards? I have a US address but my main credit card is Australian. Thanks for the warm welcome! Brad
As for whether the 40% off any configuration coupon will be back, it might, but it probably won't happen until mid-October. And even that is not a certainty. Dell recently lowered the 35% coupon to only 30%, so it might go back up to 35%, but that might be it. With this deal, you get 45% off, and although they come with a lot of extras, you can get them for just a little bit more than a stripped-down version using the 35% coupon. Plus the extras will help if you decide to sell it down the road. The extended warranty is also a very nice thing to have.

freesia39
I wish he had waited for a deal on the better 700m laptop.well he originally didn't want it because he thought it would be too small and cramped for him to type on. one of his classmates has one and he's now going "it's not so bad." i told him about the coupon and he said "you know... i could just have 2 laptops." BobbyDouglas
Is it just me, or did dell increase their prices, then toss in this 45% coupon. The $2,184 Inspiron doesn't look like a good deal at all, with the 45% off it look just "ok". It seems like the 35% off saved you more money. Am I wrong here? We were at a computer store a while back and they actually had a full sized keyboard that was flexible and you could roll up and the guy said that people bought them to use for their laptops, to make them easier to type on. ProphetSix
Sorry to ask, but I'm a little confusd on this deal. The GottaDeal post says "Save 45% on laptops over $x.xx using code A". The link to the Dell site says the same thing, until you get to the 4 choices of laptops. There, it shows the full price, then the reduced price, if you use code B. Here's the question: do you use BOTH codes? Or only one? If you do use both, do you use them in a particulat order, or does it matter? Thanks.
Brad
There is only one code. I don't know why the codes are different. Dell has used that page for several recent promotions, so the codes may be the older ones. I'd try using the code on our site first, and if it doesn't work, use the ones on Dell.com as a backup. RossMAN
Bobby, It really depends on what kind of laptop you want. The bare essentials or something loaded with a warranty? 45% off is almost half off that definitely qualifies as a "hot deal" if you want a fully loaded laptop with 3 year warranty protection. Otherwise wait until mid-October when Dell might have another $750 off $1499 coupon code.
BobbyDouglas
The 3 yr war adds like $350 (minus 45% off) to it right?
RossMAN
The 3 yr war adds like $350 (minus 45% off) to it right?Have you actually configured a laptop using this link and coupon code? I selected the 700m: http://www.aximdeals.com/dellwarranty.jpg
BobbyDouglas
Yup. I was talking about the comparison between the old deals and this one. It seems like there is a difference of around $350 (which might be from the warranty). That starting price on the 700m is $1,924 before the 45% off. It just doesn't seems like a good deal for people wanting a decent laptop (only good for the power users). 45% off sounds awesome, but when the price is jacked up, and a 45% coupon is released, it kind of makes it pointless to say 45% off, since it might only be like 30% off. Am I making sense or just rambling on? Sorry it's a bit late here :/

Brad
Compared to the normal Dell prices, this deal is still very hot. How would you like to be your average consumer going right to Dell.com where these configurations are around $600 more than you can get with this coupon. The 3 year warranty is very nice and should greatly help resale value.

Do you have a habit of leaving laptops on the ground for object to fall on and break the keyboard and/or LCD? Do you eat or drink around your laptop a lot? Do you have a habit of leaving laptops on the ground for object to fall on and break the keyboard and/or LCD? Do you eat or drink around your laptop a lot? hmmmWell my wife is really clumsy. She has a habit of spilling drinks on our coffee table. With my last laptop, I only dropped it once (damn thing was a beast! tipped over and landed right on the pcmcia wireless card )Otherwise, I'm very careful with my electronics and anal retentive on taking care of them. Have you ever had to use the accidental coverage? I wonder how painless the process is. had to add the dog/dancing monkey emoticons cause they look cool! jonottawa
This deal wouldn't still be live if it were any good. Not until mid-October, you say? That's just next month, right? Anyway, I wish Dell would cut all the BS and offer a TRULY great deal like once a year and then keep prices the same the rest of the year. And if we reserved the HOT! tag for truly hot deals only, that would be cool. Hook 'em!
