  1. I like ING. The service has been spectacular. And it makes saving money "fun" which is good for a lot of people.
  2. I saw in todays circuit city ad that they're offering 0% interest till 2008. Will I be able to get this special on Black Friday?
  3. Man this is tough. The max I can spend is ~$1000 and I want to get the extended warranty. I saw the circuit city ads and I didn't see it so I guess they're not offering the 0% financing on their BF sales items? I'm torn between this tv: http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=136248&WT.mc_n=57&WT.mc_t=U&cm_ven=AFFILIATE%20MARKETING&cm_cat=BEFREE&cm_pla=DATAFEED-%3EPRODUCTS&cm_ite=1%20PRODUCT&cm_keycode=57 and this one: http://product.samsung.com/cgi-bin/nabc/product/b2c_product_detail.jsp?prod_id=HCR4755WX%2fXAA Which tv will give me the best bang for my buck? I want HD and I want to be able to hook up my HTPC to it and be able to play games on it. I wouldn't mind spending more but I want to finance it if I'm going to be spending more.
  4. Does anyone know if they'll have the 0% interest deals on the blackfriday TV deals?
  5. hmmm Well my wife is really clumsy. She has a habit of spilling drinks on our coffee table. With my last laptop, I only dropped it once (damn thing was a beast! tipped over and landed right on the pcmcia wireless card ) Otherwise, I'm very careful with my electronics and anal retentive on taking care of them. Have you ever had to use the accidental coverage? I wonder how painless the process is. had to add the dog/dancing monkey emoticons cause they look cool!
  6. Has anyone ever used the accidental coverage with Dell? I got it this time with my new laptop but I'm wondering if it's worth it.
  7. I have one of those keyboards (bought it only cause it looked cool) and it's a pain in the butt to type on.
  8. I can't answer for sure but I don't think having an Australian cc will be a problem. My cousin lives in Australia and has ordered from Dell before.
  9. Good question. I say you should just get it now. You know you want that laptop. You can smell it. You can taste it!
  10. Hmmm well would you recommend the dell DPA route or the amex blue cash route. Because if it's the amex blue cash route, they extend my warranty for another year. I guess I could go with the larger hard drive. I have an extra copy of XP pro sitting at home waiting to be installed on my new laptop (used it on my old laptop which I reinstall xp home on before selling) My only main concern about the 700m is the gaming ability. I don't plan on playing huge graphics intensive games on this guy but I do like real time strategy games as well as Diablo 2. I figure if I get the 1 gig of ram, it'll help out.
  11. You guys get commission by clicking through your link? I didn't know that. In that case, I'll probably use your link since I wouldn't have known about this deal without this forum
  12. hmmm. It's $140 extra for the 1 gig memory (2 dimms). If I remove it and just get the 256 meg, I still have to add around $100 to get the price over 1899. Any suggestions on what to add?
  13. I'm tempted to get the 700m. But I can't seem to get the coupon to work Has it already been used up by any chance? EDIT: nm I got it working. I'm tempted to use the $750 off coupon instead. It gets me 2 years at home warranty with the extra coverage to cover spills/accidents. Intel® Pentium® M Processor 745 (1.80 GHz/400MHz FSB)12.1-in WXGA Microsoft® Windows® XP Home FREE Dell Color Printer 720! 2Yr Ltd Warranty, 2Yr At-Home Service, and 2Yr Technical Support SAVE 10 %! Add CompleteCare Accidental Damage Svc to 2Yr Lim Warranty 1GB DDR SDRAM 2 Dimms 60 GB Hard Drive 8x CD/DVD burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R write capability Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200 Internal Wireless (802.11 b/g, 54Mbps) 65 WHr 8-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery $1942 - $750 (750 off 1899) - $50 (50 off 999+) - $25 (25 off 999+ DPA) - 2% (Ebates). Or $1942 - $750 - $50 - 2% (Ebates) - 1.5% (Amex Blue Cash + 1 year extra warranty) I'm not sure which ones a better deal. I'm leaning towards the Amex one.
  14. Any good deals for an Inspiron 6000 at the moment? I want something with a decent video card. I was looking at the 700M but the keyboard being small turned me off on it. Apparently the 600M feels like it's poorly built. That left the 6000 which I saw someone with and it looked pretty good to me. Plus I can get an ATI card for it.
