hey I work with a girl who always uses an accountant to file the 1040EZ form. Pays him like $150 every year.

Dang! And I do it for free for friends! I'm not an accountant but just about anyone could handle EZ without a program.

I just did ours this morning with Taxact and had no problems. I have used them teh last 3 years and was hesitant to use an online program since we took them in every year and paid over $100 to have someone do them. I did pay $17.XX to file, but i think this included the state efile.

I just finished mine a few minutes ago. I always go to the irs.gov website and use the freefile options. I have always used the H&R Block website. Took me less than 30 minutes to input all our info and I was done. We don't have to file state because we live in Florida and we don't have that here, thank goodness. :)

In case anyone is still keeping up with this thread, there has been a major issue with Turbo Tax again this year. Thousands of refunds have been delayed. In case you're interested in reading the info: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/computers/intuit_turbotax.html

This happens EVERY year- and doesn't with other softwares. These people have paid ridiculous amounts for the software in order to have their refunds 'lost'.
