dantegirl Posted April 1, 2009 Posted April 1, 2009 What are RR? RR is short for register rewards. Walgreens will offer these register rewards if you buy a certain quantity or dollar amount of specified products (you can find them listed in the weekly circular). These register rewards can be used like cash on your next purchase. However, you have to be careful with register rewards. They usually expire 2 weeks from the issue date. Things to Remember…… At most stores, you are only able to use one register reward coupon per transaction. Another hang up with RR, is say you make a purchase, and use your RR to pay for the item(s), and the item(s) you purchase are part of a RR deal... your new RR will not print out. Your pretax total must be more or equal to your RR amount in order for you to redeem RR. RR count as manufacturer coupons as far as the register is concerned, and you are only allowed to use as many man. Q's as you have items. However, you can use a man. Q, store Q, and pay with a register reward - just make sure you have a filler item. Recently it has been noted that if you use your RR first, you don't need a filler item....YMMV. If you don't get your RR, contact the Catalina company...- Phone: 1-888-8coupon, option 3- Online HERE What is the Easy Saver Catalog? The Easy Saver Catalog lists all the monthly Walgreens deals with coupons and rebate information for the products listed in the catalog. This catalog is available in the front of the store by the weekly sales ads or can be found on-line. You can mail your rebates in or use the newly available on-line system here: http://www.walgreens.com/store/rebateclub.jsp
AndreaInNC Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 need to update the 1st post as Easy Savers were phased out in Jan 09.
freesia39 Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 need to update the 1st post as Easy Savers were phased out in Jan 09.Really? I grab a coupon book of something every month at my Walgreens. I'll have to pay attention and see what they call it.
cheetodip Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 my walgreens had alot of make-up on clearance for $3 and then bogo FREE! I got 4 bottles of foundation and 2 eyeliners for $12!
AndreaInNC Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Really? I grab a coupon book of something every month at my Walgreens. I'll have to pay attention and see what they call it.maybe it's just a term. When I hear easy saver - I think of the rebates they used to do ..
amyers12345 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 No, the easy saver was fully phased out. A few months later, it was replaced by some coupon booklets, but no rebates. Some months, two booklets are released. One is called the Healthy Savings, the other is a basic Walgreens coupon book. It is usually the 'January Savings Book' or something like that. The Easy Saver also had rebates, commonly called ESR. While the coupons are now similar, it is still an entirely different thing to veteran WAGS shoppers.
HansieDZ Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 (edited) I stopped at Wags yesterday and noticed they had a big orange paper on the door that was an application to sell alcohol! I asked the cashier about it and signed a petition (FOR) and she said it was new. Does anyone else's Walgreen's sell alcohol or is it just an Indiana thing? There are no alcohol sales on Sundays here still but that might change. I was looking for some cheap Hannah Montana things for a donation to a school dance but didn't find any Edited January 15, 2010 by HansieDZ
tinkrbel Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 We used to have walgreen's liquor stores side by side to walgreens and had pretty decent deals every now and again but they've all but gotten rid of them. think there's 1 left somewhere. they remodelled to get rid of separating wall and redid the store bigger. I'm in Florida
AndreaInNC Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 Wags in St Louis used to sell alcohol - but I haven't been to one in years. Where I live liquor sales are still controlled by the state - so won't happen here.
knreich Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 A number of years ago Walgreens phase out all of the alochol from their stores. Weird that they are now considering going back to it.
Sedonahiker Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 My mom lives in Arizona and the Walgreens there sells alcohol. When you walk in the door it is just to your left and is in it's own area. They even have register in there to check out in.
amberj365 Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 This week: Welch's 32 oz. jar of Jelly 2/$3.00 (there were 75c coupons in the Sun. Newspaper a week or two ago) Oscar Mayer Ready to Serve Bacon $1.99 This is the first time I've ever seen it that cheap. (I love microwavable bacon!) Sony VHS Tapes $1.29 each w/ coupon in ad
222deal Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 No alcohol at mine but maybe that is changing. Target added beer not long ago here and that totally shocked me so I wouldn't be surprised to see Wallgreens get in on the act too.
