Walmart.com Black Friday Sale

Recommended Posts

It's been confirmed that, as with the last few years, the WM ad items will go online early Friday morning. I'll try to nail down an exact time...

Thanks I am only needing one thing from walmart and it is a non-doorbuster so I don't want to fight the crowd...lol

I am wanting to buy doorbusters like the $3 (kids) & $7 (adults) nightclothes, but I wanna skip Walmart, if possible. So, whats the trick? Do I put the items in my cart & just keep refreshing my browser? Thanks in advance :)

This came from a article I read this morning.

Wal-Mart integrating stores, Web

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. is aggressively integrating its stores and Web site this year.

On Black Friday, many shoppers will be able to stay in their pajamas. Some Black Friday in-store specials are going to be available this year online at Walmart.com.

Walmart.com is charging 97 cents for home delivery of any consumer electronics item, whether it's a 50-inch TV or a pocket camera. (Site-to-store orders are still free.)

And the Web site will have about 50 online-only specials on the day after Thanksgiving.

Raul Vazquez, president and chief executive of Walmart.com, said the company's online business is in the "multiple billions of dollars" and is growing at a rate faster than Amazon.com's 20 percent annual increase. Wal-Mart won't break out its dot-com business, but it's safe to say it's less than Amazon.com's $19 billion last year.

Last year, some shoppers noticed that an item was priced lower online than in Walmart stores. That's because the online store has staff dedicated to searching the Internet, independently lowering prices when necessary.

"Walmart.com is applying the same playbook that worked in stores," Vazquez said.

Me to! After 1 or 2 DS lite....Hope they are on-line! Last year there site crashed. We had to throw on clothes and fight the crowd. Horrible! Didn't get some of our stuff.

We won't know until early Friday. We are supposed to be sent a list of the items that will be available a couple hours before the sale goes "live", so as soon as we get any info, it'll be posted in here...

Well I would highly suggest skipping the kids pj's (see threads from previous years - the quality is atrocious), but I know they were available online last year, and I don't think they went all that quickly. You should be fine.

If we order online from wal-mart for BF, and click on the link from here, will that help you Brad?

If you order from nearly any site and click the links anywhere on GD, chances are it will help us :)

Thanks a lot for that bit of info. I guess I'll be at KMart on Thanksgiving getting my dd7's nightclothes (JoeBoxer 4-piece set for $7) & then on I;ll go to KMart again on BF for my dd1's nightclothes (footie pjs for $3.99). Thanks again! I guess I wont be at WalMart, no big tickets items Im looking for.

Are you going to likely have an exact time by

Thursday Brad? Im planning to set my alarm for about half an hour before the walmart sale starts online then get the blu ray player than go back to sleep till about 3"30ish (to get ready to actually go out for Black Friday)

As long as you're not expecting $20 pajamas for $3 they're ok. I bought several pairs for my daughters last year and they've held up just fine. They are sized a couple of sizes small, and are made out of a t-shirt type material. We don't live in an extremely cold climate, so the heaviness of the material really doesn't matter to me. I'll be grabbing several again this year as my girls have outgrown last years.

I'd like to get 2 of the $200 laptops. They aren't that great but the people I am buying them for wouldn't care. They just need to check their e-mail.

I'm also interested in the Harajuku Lover's perfume sets. One of my cousins would LOVE it. I went to the store today looking for it and they don't have any HL perfume at all so it must be a special Black Friday thing.

According to the ad online, the DS Lite will be available online and in the store. I'm hoping to order online for site to store pickup. :)

I was viewing the ad from the walmart site, clicked on several items for more details and it said if it was available for online order or instore only. Now I ??? if this is really how it will be or not.

I just recall that, in the last 2 or 3 years, there have been many reports of a) their being undersized by several sizes (personally I don't think that's an acceptable risk) and B) falling apart after only a few washings.
