Kim3498
DS loves the Legos games. Honestly so does DH...lol. They have Indiana Jones, Indiana Jones 2 (due to be released 11-17-09), Batman, Rock Band, and Star Wars available for Wii. DS likes the Star Wars best, but has requested the new Indiana Jones 2 for Christmas. There is also a new Super Mario for Wii that is released Sunday. I have been told by Game Stop Manager that it is awesome. He played it at a convention. Edited November 15, 2009 by Kim3498
rjncmj
My 5yr old son loves Cars Mator-National. My 6yr old son loves all the Lego character games, Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Star Wars and Lego Batman. All my kids like Wii Music, Cooking Mama, and Rayman Raving Rabbids. AudreyNicole
I will recommend the Lego games too. We have Lego Batman, Lego Indiana Jones and Lego Star Wars for both the Nintendo DS and XBOX and my boys,6 & 7, both love them. They are their most used games. I think the new Super Mario Wii would be great too. I have a pre-order in for it. I was about 8 years old when the original came out, and from the looks of the commercials, I think your DS would do just fine with it :)

leefamily23
I want to second the Lego's games. We just bought last weekend a Nascar game and found it to be easier to control the cars on the track than MarioKart.
ajdana726
There is a game that's called family game night, i am getting it for my 10. I know it has operation, connect 4. I think it has 25+ games on it.
zansmyman
We have a great love for the lego games, most mario games (super mario galaxy is a good one but I have heard that in some, it causes dizziness but since my DS NEVER gets dizzy (really, its a sensory issue), it was a non issue but I do know a friend who cant play it because of that), boom blox, mario cart, wii sports resort, mario and sonic at the olympic games, the zelda games... kjunea
My 6 year old beats us at Mario Cart all the time! Highly recommend it. He also loves the Lego games and anything sports related. He has asked for Mario/Sonic Winter Olympics for Christmas.

Karmarose
I am getting my kids wii points this year for their stockings. They have some classic games that you can download online and then they can each choose one at least. Also, getting some points for hubby so he can replay some of his favs when he gets home. :) I love all the lego games as well. My kids like Super Mario Galaxy which they are playing right now and it does make me dizzy. lol
kklracing
I would recommend Game Party II. It has 11 games on it: puck bowling, lawn darts, horseshoes, darts, skill ball, etc. We play it with our 5 year old and 14 year old, and us as adults. It's good for all ages. The games are either like backyard games or arcade type games like skeeball and the basketball shoot. It's a good all around game for all ages. They have the Legos Star Wars , Batman and Indiana Jones. Don't know how many you will be needing, but just thought I would throw that out there. They do have other games on the list as well. Not sure if you will be needing more than one of them, but just thought I would throw that out there. Thanks for letting me know, I am thinking on it....usually when I get him a new one, I'd buy only one of a certain kind (if it is similar in nature, i.e. both Legos...) to make sure he enjoys it....although it seems those who responded on this thread own multiple lego wii games--so that is a good sign
Kim3498
We own them all except the Rock Band or Indiana Jones 2 (which DS is getting for Christmas). It seems to be his favorite games. He likes the Star Wars and Indiana Jones more than Batman. There are different games on that list to choose from as well. :) Hope ya find him one that he loves. mom2monkiesx3
I picked up toy story mania at Target when Wii games were buy 2 get 1 and used the $10 off Wii games coupon with that... I don't EVER pay retail for games so it was hard to even do it that way but I did...its a newer game so watch it in the next few weeks. IT IS IN 3D and comes with 3D glasses. And after riding the ride I'd say its totally worth the full price even !!!
AudreyNicole
ToysRUs have their games Buy 1 and get $20 off a second one for games $39.99 and more. I picked up the preorder of Super Mario Wii today, along with another game and got $20 off, plus I spent more than $75 so I got a $10 giftcard back because there is a coupon on the front of the sales flyer this week :) TRU has been having some GREAT deals on games lately! I will keep an eye out for the Toy Story one cheaper because my boys have asked for that one too :)
Scanner420
Can't go wrong with Mario games on a Nintendo system. Mariocart and Mario & Sonic at the Winter Olympics are two on my sons list this year, along with Bakugan, Cars and Toy Story Mania.
christib327
Do you have a Target close by? The games aren't buy 2 get 1 free anymore, but I think a couple of the lego games are 19.99 there and if you couple that with the $10 off two coupon you could get a decent deal and not have to buy a lego game for both of them. fluffkin79
Is anyone running any sales on games? I should have bought them at Target, but I decided to wait another year to get a wii. DH changed my mind. Now we have a wii on the way and could use a deal on Metroid, Mario Kart, and New Super Mario Bros. We could use another set of controllers, too. Great choice :) Joshua just decided last night, that the new Lego Indiana Jones 2 game was top on his wishlist. I am hoping to snag it on sale before Christmas. That new one is 45.99 most places!I truly hope my son likes the one I chose. Very hard to find games that he can do....so he gets frustrated. Kind of bothers me that alot of the sales have Buy 2 get 1 or things like that...sometimes I don't want 3 wii games --or 2 wii games, I want 1 PS 2 and 1 wii and 1 PS3 for a gift, ya know... That can be a little annoying...I sure hope you find it on a good sale. Indy original was 19.99 just about everywhere, so I used a 10% off and got 1.90 off it LOL

Even if you want 3 particular titles, and they run a buy 2 get 1 deal, still they may not have one of the one game you need, so you are still out of luck.. How about a sale just giving us 15 or 20% off of 1 game?? Is that so crazy.... LOL
