neboo Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Don't know if there is another thread for this, but I started listening to Christmas music yesterday and am getting pumped for BF. I've had many people already tell me I am crazy, but I love it. I found a nice online station with music 24/7. There was snow in our state yesterday so I am really starting to get the bug! Has anyone else started listening yet?
SueInCali Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I figure since they have already started with the Christmas displays in stores...why not! :)
mom2monkiesx3 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 (edited) Shoot me now...I have definatly not started listening to Christmas music. I did however download the new Hollywood undead and Halestrom CD's into my cars harddrive :) Maybe it has to do with our still near 100* weather but probally not Edited October 6, 2009 by mom2monkiesx3
pogiporkchop Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 It's never too early... even DH was asking me if holiday music was being played yet! Where he's from, though, they start playing it Sept. 1 he says :)
tntsmomie Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I think October is a little too early, even for me. I normally start around Nov. 1st but pretty much b/c I enjoy Halloween and want to get through that before we move on to anything else. Once we start decorating for Thanksgiving, I pull out the Christmas music. I should probably start finding the CDs.... But hey, if you're enjoying it, go for it! Puts you in the Christmas spirit, right? :)
BDF Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 Nope not too early....i always start listening around mid October....think I'll work on updating mine tonight....thanx
rabx5 Posted October 6, 2009 Posted October 6, 2009 I think by Christmastime, I would have my hair pulled out if I started listening before Thanksgiving.
misshayley Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 I start listening to Christmas music on October 1
abentley Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 I am in love with the old music Disneyland plays on mainstreet during the holidays. I have been searching out all I can find.
zoemariesmamma Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 YES.... It is too early. That's kinda what I was thinking..lol. In a word..yes. I try to enjoy the fall and halloween..but come Black Friday it is all Christmas all the time..makes my hubby crazy!!
rockpzazz Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I think its a bit early for me, but anytime after November 1st is fine. I usually dont start until about a week before Thanksgiving. My only real problem is that theres not a lot of songs, just a million people singing the same 15 songs over and over again.
kboyts Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 Starting listening to christmas songs this week trying to pick ones I want to attempt to use in my light display. Im starting a small computerized music/light display this year
aleighc1 Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 My kids and husband have been listening to Christmas music since JUNE! My kids have also written their letters to Santa, and my younger daughter has started making ornaments. I'm wondering if they will all be sick of Christmas by the time we actually get to it? lol!
msivy Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 no music yet but i'm not against it. i've started our christmas product displays in our store and when we sell down more of the halloween product (we usually get wiped out in the last minute rush), i'll be designing christmas packages and doing full blown decorating. i'm excited. i just wanna get through halloween, it's like pulling teeth in our store hahahah
HansieDZ Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Would someone be so kind as to post a link to a station that is playing holiday music already? TIA!
ourhappyfamily4 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 I love Christmas music. I havent listened to any yet though... but I have already watched a Christmas movie. I enjoy the fall weather... but I am looking forward to "Christmas Time" Wish we got snow here!
trus'mi Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 I agree it's never to early to listen to Christmas music. My daughter (she's to old to admit her age) and my mom and I all compare which cd's we're listening to and never tire of hearing the music! With the economy this year we're really trying to work on the Christmas spirit as well around here. I think we're going to limit the spending to one gift per person and have to be creative if any one wants to do more. Any one else thinking of ways to be creative?
clevelandrocksandrolls Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 The tradition in my house is that we start listening to Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving and it never even dawned on me until this thread. That would make it..................Black Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
berry1014 Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 If you enjoy listening to it then No it's never to early. I listen to Christmas music all through out the year when the mood strikes me which is maybe once a month. By mid Nov I am listening to it daily.
doublehsmom Posted October 15, 2009 Posted October 15, 2009 I haven't started listening to it just because I can't find my cds but I do have some on my computer. I have however started watching different movies and I am so in the mood and since the weather some days feels like nov its really hard not to be in the mood for christmas.lol..
toritx Posted October 16, 2009 Posted October 16, 2009 I listen to christmas music all year round. If I am very stressed or in a bad mood it always cheers me up!
Deekayjo Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 We have! I purchased a country Christmas CD from Kohls and we listen to it in the car daily!
jillandjustin Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 I know I'm in the minority here, but I am not a big fan of Christmas music. Allow me to explain. One evening in December, I came home from a party in which I might have consumed alcohol while underage (shame on me, I know:o). My mother, knowing I would wake up with a wicked headache, started blaring Christmas music at 5 a.m. Since then, I can only stomach (get it? ) a little at a time.
