We're in the process of buying a new house and our closing date is 12/27. This will be a much smaller Christmas this year but of course the upside is we're buying our first house!!!!

I started this past weekend. Normally I wait until after Halloween. But I just bought a new Christmas CD and had to listen to it.

Ours had tons of the Imaginext Pirate Ships on top of the shelves.

We solved our great "White vs Multi Colored" debate last year. Hubby likes the colored lights, I like white. For many years we had only white lights since I was the one decorating the tree. Well last year we bought one of those prelit trees that has both white and colored lights on it. So you can have one or the other or both! Now everyone is happy!

I love to wrap presents but I never get around to it until Christmas Eve usually. I just put in a Christmas DVD and go crazy! Hubby helps sometimes but he's usually busy putting together the big toys (last year it was a huge rocking horse, hee hee, you should have heard him!!).

Every year we have the best intentions to take the tree down on Jan 1st but it never works out that way. Normally the ornaments come off the tree that day and the tree comes down the following weekend when we take down the outside lights.

That's how it worked out here too. We just have to save enough for groceries and gas, the rest is Christmas $$. I'm not sure what store I'll hit first yet but I know Starbucks for a Gingerbread latte is high on the list!!! Also Bath & Body Works, I just love that place!!!

When I walked in they gave me some free mints and a paper to fill out for the contest. I was just killing time and entered it. I was really shocked I won. I think they gave out 2 gift cards yesterday and 1 today.

I got to JC Penney at 4:45AM and there was already lines forming outside (and probably inside the mall too). They opened at 5:00AM. I got a snow globe and walked straight to the trees. Got the letter off the one I wanted and went to pay. I was out of there in about 15 minutes. They were crazy busy yesterday morning.

Just curious if anyone else won something yesterday? I won a $100 gift card to J.Jill but I don't shop there so I don't know what to do with it. But it's still way cool that I won. They did a drawing and they called me yesterday evening to tell me I had won. I was very surprised. Anyone else?

Almost $900. Gulp. It's all good though.

Sears. It looks like you have to call to order them. I didn't try this but thought others may need them. Sorry if this is the wrong place.

I don't have a solid answer but my experience in the past is that if something is on sale, you'll only be credited the sale price back. If that is the case with this item, then no it won't work. I wonder if you call the store and speak to a manager if you can get a solid answer. If they say "Yes" make sure you get their name so you don't have any troubles on Friday.

I won't put it all together until Thursday morning when I have the ads in hand. I'm a little curious to see how it goes this year for me. This is my first BF in a totally new state/area. I'm still not sure where everything is. Plus traffic here is always bad and I'm sure BF will be awful! But as long as I can find a Starbucks and get a Gingerbread latte, I'll be just fine.

I didn't need anything last year and I still went. It was more fun that way. I wasn't in "shopping mode" but just looking around. I still ended up buying some things. But it was stuff for me at a good price so how could I pass it up?
