They only have the pink LMax now. Not much good for a mom of two boys. <sigh>

I did most of my shopping online before going out on Friday morning. From Kohls.com: Two hooded towels for my boys Snowflake microplush throw for me From Staples.com: 7" Philips Portable DVD player for my stepson I got in line at Old Navy around 4:30AM. There were about 40 people in front of me. They only had 35 of the free MP3 players to go around so I didn't get that but I did have fun just browsing around the store. I went to Bath and Body Works and cleaned up on Wallflowers and Antibacterial soap, plus free gift. Next off to World Market for my free chocolate bar and my oh so delightfully tacky glittery Christmas tree candles that I must buy every year. Then off to stand in line for a radio contest held at a local shopping center. They were giving out gift cards from $10 to $1000. I got $25, not to bad. Then I finished off with a trip to the outlets up the road and got more stuff at the Bath and Body Works outlet and got yet another one of those free gift with purchase perfumes they were handing out. Later Friday night we went to Best Buy and hubby wanted to get the Yamaha keyboard. Well they only had one of the $69 one and he was going to get it. Then the sales person put a sign on the next model up which is normally $150. They marked it down to $99! So hubby grabbed that right up and used his gift card and reward zone coupon and now he has yet another piece of music equipment to make him happy.

That's the really weird thing. I placed my order Wednesday. On Thursday my bank account showed 3 different charges from Leapfrog. Only one of which is what I purchased so I freaked. I figured they had some BF/Holiday issues and waited until today. Well today I can't log on to my account, the bank charges all disappeared too. I tried to reach Leapfrog and couldn't get through. Then around 5:00PM UPS showed up with my order! Very odd transaction with them. I'm not sure what happened. I hope you get your order with no problems.

I'm bummed I missed out on this. I was on hold for over an hour trying to get the status on my Leapfrog.com order that they totally messed up last week. Had I been able to straighten that out, I could have ordered this for my son. I'm totally bummed. Now I've got neither.

Finally got it!!!! Got a Philips 7" Portable DVD Player for my teenage stepson. I hope it's a good one.

I got two different papers and it wasn't in either of them. I even stopped by Walmart to see if they had one and they said they didn't but I could buy another paper and see if it was in that one. No thanks.

Thank you so much for all your help and excellent tips. I have a question, do you know where in your store the Portable DVD player is going to be? I'm just curious where they put stuff like that since they don't have an electronics department. Thanks again and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

I was at Target last night and noticed a large amount of these in the electronics department. I just logged on here today to verify that it was the BF one and it sure is! I'm not sure how many all stores are getting but as of right now the one by me has a whole end cap dedicated to this portable DVD player. Good luck! :)

We use WD here. We have two and they have never given us any trouble. If I were in need of one again this year I'd buy the WD that BB has on sale on BF.

I have a teenage stepson and my DH and I have two young sons together (ages 7 and almost 6). We probably spend more on my stepson mostly because he's almost 17 now and everything costs so much for teens. Our other two still get plenty of gifts but if you look at the dollars, we're spending more "per child" on my stepson. I wouldn't spend less on him just because he gets gifts from both sides of his family.

As of right now weather.com says sunny and 69 on Black Friday.
