Well, I would have to say that it would depend on your local Best Buy store and the crowd it draws in. Now cross that with the store minimum on that item and what time you plan on showing up. It's all in the math. Basically, come very early to be in line and, the closer to the front you are, the better your odds.

I am definately going to do that. Another good question on here is how do I get a custom avatar ? The ones yall provide are cool and cover just about any personality but I would sooooo prefer to have my own.

Depending on the lighting and the spacing of everyone, I am planning on having my wife take a picture of all of us meeting there through this site to post here and on my website so that should be pretty cool. I would say to get there about 4am (hehehe) Ok, ok..it would be too late then. I say about 11pm or so would be fine depending what Best Buy (or whatever store) you plan on going to.

I went to Best Buy earlier tonight (thank God my Best Buy has 23 eMachine systems in place) and I checked out the monitor... yeah, a little small is right... wouldn't even be worth opening the box for me.. I wonder if they will let me upgrade to a bigger one and how much it would cost ? Hmmmmmm

I think that is pushing it WAY too much and you might have some problems. I know I would have a problem with someone doing that and, at 6 foot 3 and 320 Lbs. and carrying a crutch, that is one BIG problem. Now, you could have someone grab a cart and just meet ya where ya wanna load up but there is no "saving places" in the checkout line. That is ignorant, rude, and, well, this time of year, dangerous.

I went in tonight about 8:15pm and they had a buttload of PCs ready to go... like 20 of each one on sale for Black Friday so it won't be that much of a madhouse... well, maybe for the laptops.. didn't see those but I didn't look for them either since that is not what I am going for. hehe Beware flying crutches if you plan on buying something I want before me. I dropped by the Best Buy we plan to go to RedLotus.. I know you said you and wife were planning to also. Did ya make it ? They have 23 of the eMachines in stock so that gives me a little hope. They actually seem to have a pretty good stock in. Only a couple things I saw were at the minimum and I did some "selective placing" to try and ensure I get one. Hehehehe

Hey Lotus... for work eh ? I think they would rather have the laptop since, if you got the desktop and I didn't, you would be impaled with a crutch and would have to take time off from work and that would help noone. Hahahaha jk bro

I will be picking up some gloves and a ski mask of some kind (if I can find them for this huge Charlie Brown head of mine) tonight and, possible, at least a handwarmer although I am gonna be camped out with a small propane heater to ward off the chill.

As far as I know, they have revamped their return process for Black Friday merchandise. It might vary from store to store no matter what policy is so I would say, for the EXACT solution, to give em a call at your local Best Buy, ask for a manager, and see what they tell you. Who knows, ya might get a very nice manager who will even cuddle with ya after. haha

No AGP slot in this PC... it is the new PCI Express (PCIe) format which is supposed to be a better graphics solution than AGP or PCI... although people still debate the truthfullness in that theory but, well, there ya have it. I am kinda stuck where you are... have an AGP ATI Radeon 9800 Pro right now but that is ok, I will just upgrade to a new PCIe card.

As for selling tickets, people did it for Playstation 2 and 3 ( I got a little over $100 for one during the PS2 launch and my friend got almost $400 for one) outside Best Buy..at least over in Saginaw MI... they might still frown on it but I think people do it anyways. I do, however, think that it would be very rude to do it on BF simply because, to most, this is the only time they can really afford to give their families nice gifts.. I know that is how it is for me. I was injured at work and had a shattered ankle and dislocated knee and have only been getting the minimum of workers comp and, if someone got the ticket I was hoping for and then tried to sell it to me or near me, someones teeth would be laying around like chicklets. Crutches can be weapons !! Hahahaha Seriously though, there probably would be problems though I am not sure about the whole violence thing. Think of it this way, by NOT taking a ticket you don't need or want, you ARE helping a family get something they might never have been able to afford otherwise. You are indeed the spirit of Christmas simply by walking away from the temptation. I have always liked Phillips and they are pretty good if you need help or there is a problem you need to discuss with them. As far as the specific TVs, I say, again, the Phillips.. a little more pricey but worth every penny.
