Kinda late now but yes, legally, they have to allow it unless it says "varies by store" or some other such disclaimer.

How many are people looking for a free item also. Classico can be bought anywhere. Although, the added crap in the box leads me to believe it happened at the company which packs the boxes. The light items (phone cord and cover) were thrown in to get the weight to the limit where it would pass the scale when moving down the line.. no other reason to throw em in there since you could not tell by picking it up if those were in there with the sauce or not.

They handed them out at 4 am here also. Was pretty calm (though the police there probably helped that).

I am not sure exactly how they work it but, yes, they do get something for all credit applications they get people to fill out and that get approved.

It has to be a store-specific screw up. My store handed out 1 ticket per item to people around me. Many got 2, 3, or 4 tickets with no problems. Honestly, from all I have seen here and the general layout of the store, Best Buy was just not 100% prepared for Black Friday

I was going to go with an LCD but all the ones I saw only supported 1024x768 resolution and I, generally, run more than that. I thought about returning it but then figured I would actually do better by putting it and the printer with my old computer ( eMachine with AMD 2400+ XP, 80 Gig harddrive, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro AGP, Sound Blaster LIVE 5.1 card, cd burner, dvdrom) and selling the entire package on Ebay. If nothing more, I figure I could get $200 and it would be like I got this PC for free.

Ok, back for a minute. My wife is covering my place in line so I could run home to use the bathroom and get her some coffee. She is so sweet. There are about 160+ people outside the Best Buy I am at (I am #3 in line woohoo) and it is a crazy, party atmosphere. I have done 2 interviews for local television and mentioned this site but, that I know of, they did not air me mentioning it. Now the downside, I have been in line since 3:30 this afternoon. Argh ! Hope everyone is staying as warm as possible, it is hellish out there in my area... frost covering the ground already

I agree 100%... I have a video on my personal website from Black Friday last year of a black woman being trampled.. while she was trying to get her wig back !! haha Is funny but not.. ya know ? She complained about the store not doing enough and this and that and, to a point I think the stores have to do a bit to protect us but, for the most part, we have to stop being greedy retards and have some respect for others. I, for one, am not going to let someone drop around me and just keep going into a store.. granted the flow of people might not allow me to get to them but sometimes ya just gotta try. I would like to think all of you would do the same

Some states do that, for some reason. I have heard of some places offering a gift card, others nothing at all. It really does suck and I feel for ya. For some people (definately me), the doorbuster sale is the only sale of the year when they can buy something very nice. I have been off from work since August 22nd for a smashed ankle (2 broken bones in it) and a dislocated knee which ended up needing surgery last week. Workers comp doesn't pay me even near what I made with all the overtime I was putting in. To top it off, I just got married Sept. 30th so this is my chance ya know ? I cannot imagine what I would do with no doorbusters.

Yep.. they have what looks like stretch wrap around all the poles in the front of the building (by the doors) from top to bottom to keep people from getting through there and then "police tape" going down the entire front of the building and around the side of it as well to keep everyone in a line (almost single file). I think it is also a safety issue... if people have to come in single file, there will be no mob nor people getting trampled this year... might work...

Just got home from Meijer and Kmart..... got a dvd player at Meijer for $20 Kmart was pointless to go to. Honestly, the ad looked better than the sales actually were and I was left asking myself..."why am I here again ?" Is it me or does Kmart always look like a bad rummage sale ?

Yeah, they have 23 of them at the store I am going to. I looked at the monito and, wow, it just seems so small compared to my 17' CRT monitor. Depending on price, I would love to switch to a 17' or 19' LCD...saw a beautiful widescreen LCD there I wouldn't mind having.

I did mine and am pretty pleased with what I saw... even did something less than honest and hope it works for me. No, no...nothing illegal or anything, just something that I hope will give me a slight upper hand when itcomes to a particular non ticket item I would like.

If you have a friend with you, they can always run the stuff to the car prior to store opening. That is why it is best to bring a "wingman" who isn't there to buy anything. They can pack stuff up, be the one to get a cart for you, and do the things that you cannot do quickly while you gather your merchandise
