Two years ago I went to Shoprite to get stuff. Turns out they already had the BF price for the DVD/VCR on sale in the computer. So I got it a day early! (This may only work for supermarket deals like Shoprite & Pathmark.)

Using it - but would like to get Value City setup so it can be added. Nice feature.

Mine was open at 6 AM. I got there at 5:45. Hint - if you can find a Staples that's not in a big shopping area, you can get there closer to 6!

We bought the Playo's last year and had some troubles with them (I think the +R worked better than the -R). But there was some confusion as to whether you could get the rebate on BOTH kinds or just one. Does anyone know what the policy will be this year?

I was at Shoprite tonight and they had all of their electronics left - the DVD/VCR's etc. I don't think the deals were that great there. Any other stores have stuff left even by dinner time?

Some of these are specific to my area of Northern NJ, but might help others: Avoid heavily trafficed areas. I was able to be at Staples at 5:45 because this one is not on the main Bergen County shopping area of 4 and 17. Buy ahead and price adjust or return rebuy. This is especially good for smaller items like soft goods that might sell out. If seeking out a mall store with multiple locations, use an upscale mall. And see if they will do holds in advance - Gymboree in Riverside Square was breeze, I wouldn't even attempt Garden State Plaza today. Also, be sure to turn off your lights. I wound up needing a jump start when I got home!

Other than having to return and rebuy my purchases (wouldn't give a price adjustment) - Target was fine and fast! No complaints.

So far I have or will return 3 items: Staples: DVD+R's (no rebate) Target: PJ's (mine) - too big, Lite Brite (not the 6.00 one) Sears: Razor (got wrong one, 39.99 NOT 19.99) Anyone else?

Today's stuff (mostly practical): Staples: DVD burner, DVD-R disks, surge protector, calculator, Norton AV/Go Back Bundle Walgreens: 2 bottles of tide, free Quatro Razor, 1 Revlon Lipstick Gymboree: $101 of stuff for my son, including 3.99 shorts and a gift dress Target: PJ's, turtlenecks, slippers socks, 2 toys, diaper wipes (not BF, needed them), 2 1.00 section items, Shark Tales and Robots Sears: Digital Tire gauge Returned (or to be returned): PJ's for me from Target (too big), razor from Sears (wrong one, not 19.99 one), DVD+R's from Staples (no rebate) Ordered: Speakers and Batteries from Circuit City, 1 package DVD+R's from Staples Pretty quiet this year for us!

I heard there were 75 in Secacus, NJ. I expect it got a larger # than most as it is the closest Walmart to New York City.

I talked while at Staples - talked to a guy who came from Walmart and got the laptop and I chatted to the people behind me and in front of me while checking out. The other stores weren't so busy.

Went to Target to readjust my BF pre-purchases and correct the extra item I was charged for. Well, they said no price adjustments. So I said OK, I'll return them and rebuy. So I did. It actually worked out better for me to go in the store - I had gotten the wrong kind of PJ's for my son that weren't on sale, and was able to get a navy 4t and not a 4 turtleneck as those weren't out Wednesday. (But the PJ's for me were all gone, so I was glad I had those!)

Went to Sears for one item (a razor). It was supposed to be 19.99. They charged me 39.99. Fortunately it's 10 minutes from my house, I'll run back before 11.

Made it to Staples at 5:45. Got everything I wanted: DVD, calculator, surge protector. And one pack each of the DVD's. But only one rebate form printed. Did they do the same thing as last year - consider them 1 item? Please advise!

Hmm. My page 10 has an Olympus camera. I went in wednesday to get the fuji, but they were out of it - I'm in NJ.

We got ads we don't usually get actually - Old Navy, Kmart and Circuit City. Weird.

It seems a lot of things I wanted aren't online - the camera case, the calculator - but I'm going to grab the batteries and speakers.

Anyone?

Just saw a TV ad for 10.00 specials for the weekend - I think it had Kristin Chenowith (from Wicked) in it. Love Old Navy, but won't brave the mall this weekend
