I celebrated my birthday on the 28th of last month and what a GREAT day it was! My co-workers/employees surprised me with a cake (even if the one who made it did spell my name wrong), balloons and gifts, then that evening my son took us to see Josh Turner in concert! This is one birthday that will be difficult to top! She's beautiful!!

We're bracing for a cold week next week in NW Ohio. Wind chills could be down to 30 below on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. I wish I could hibernate!

Finally back to work today. We were supposed to go back yesterday but the roads in our county were very slippery so they closed school for the day. We did have a 2 hour delay this morning but we ended up going after the delay. We haven't seen temps above freezing for a while now and it doesn't look like it will warm above freezing anytime soon. We got a couple inches of snow here Sunday night, closer to Monday morning, but nothing like what southern Ohio got.

It's hard to believe we only have 2 more days of school and I'm off for 2 weeks. Even harder to believe is that I have so much wrapping to do and I know I still have some shopping to do and just no desire or motivation to do it.

I received my Secret Santa gift today and, of course, I couldn’t wait to open it! I have to say they nailed it! I love everything! Thank you so much! Merry Christmas!!

Our tree is sitting there naked, too. It is a prelit tree so it's not totally naked, but close to it. I'm not sure if it'll get decorated or not. This is our first year having a tree up with our current cat so I guess you could say this is just a trial run on it.

I had my sister pick some up for me since it's a bit of a drive for me. Good deal!

Oh my goodness! I hope you’re feeling better and that everything is being taken care of as far as your daughter’s car. People just need to pay attention when driving. So many senseless accidents happen because they don’t pay attention.

This is the big one I’ve been waiting for. It sure seems like a big letdown to me. I only saw a couple things that I want. They don’t have a lot of their “regular“ Black Friday items that I normally get there.

I’m impatiently waiting for the Menards ad! This has been our first stop for a couple years now since we don’t have to wait at other stores and can usually order online. Anyone else waiting on a specific ad?

I don't really have a shopping list yet. I do have a good start on my shopping though. I've been watching deals throughout the year and buy whenever I see a good deal on something I think someone would enjoy. I suppose if I need something, I'll see it when the ads come out.

All of this was before my time, but had I been a kid back then, I'd love to have the 24" Talking Charmin Chatty for $12.97. I'm wondering if this is where my dad bought his projection screen. I've always loved the nights when we'd all gather around and look at the slides he'd project onto this screen.
