  1. Don't have a Wal-greens ad this week. Also don't have that coupon in my SmartSource. Small towns suck for this reason. Other than that they are pretty good.
  2. That is really sweet! When I was pregnant with our 3rd, my husband got me a mother's ring. It is my most favorite piece of jewelry. Don't tell him, but I even love it more than the diamond studs that he got me for our 1st Christmas.
  3. I hadn't even thought about that, maybe I should let me son look at one (he is only 8 going on 9, but he reads at like a 6ths or 7th grade level). I have let him read The Xanth Series by Piers Anthony as I really like them and they are something that I find appropriate for his age. Plus we have read all of the Harry Potter Series to date. So I might get Watchers out for him. See if he takes to it. Thanks for the idea.
  4. If I was to get a whole day of rest and relaxation, I probably wouldn't know what to do with myself... but would sure like to try!
  5. I love Koontz! Watchers was the first that I read. After that I was hooked. From the Corner of His Eyes was great. Now I've got to go look for Forever Odd. I loved Odd Thomas. I bawled like a baby at the end!
  6. Okay, if i could get any physical thing? It would probably be a new CD/DVD burner for the computer. But if I could have anything it would be a completely clean house... all of the clothes washed and put a way; all of the dishes done, the floors done, the bathrooms and bedrooms spotless; everything in it's place. I have 3 kids 8 and under, so if you have kids you can understand why that would be my best gift.
  7. I thought that the newest Koontz book was Life Expectancy. I haven' heard of Forever Odd. Is it like the sequal to Odd Thomas or is it unrelated?
  8. :curse: :curse: That would make me so mad that I wouldn't be able to see straight!
  9. I think every family has this happen at one time or another. My daughter did it, my sister did it to me. She also cut off her eyelashes. (That one I really don't understand. Why the eyelashes, no one normally cuts their eyelashes.) I suggest at least taking some pics though, you WILL laugh about it later. And, if you just can't bear to have all of the pics with her "new do" then I would suggest one of those big wide stretchy headbands. They will cover the bangs and no one will know that they are gone, not just pulled back. The Santa hats are a cute idea too. And just remember, it could be worse, you could of had to shave her head rather than your sons.
  10. I am pretty sure that I saw it in the Wal-mart here. Some of the perfume and her new line of makeup too. I agree that it smells pretty nice... not too strong. And the makeup is nice colors... no blacks or anything too dark.
  11. We just try to keep it even on both planes. If one gets a big gift, they all get a big gift. If one gets an expensive gift, they all get an expensive gift. We actually figured out a good way to do this. We buy one gift for each of them at a time. They all match in a way. Example, a $20 gaming accessory for our son, a $20 smores maker for older daughter, and a $20 zebra rug for the youngest daughter. And so on. It works out pretty good.
  12. So was it still going on on Sunday? Rite Aid isn't close to me, but I could fit it in on an errand run if it meant free makeup!
  13. Thanks for the bump on this one. After everyone had had them on sale, my girls came to me asking for them. Guess they may get them now. :)
  14. Same thing happened here. We had to go round and round with the manager at our Wal-Mart about it.
  15. 14 at Wal-mart here. What bothered me was that I was at Wal-mart the night before at 10 pm with DH and no one could/would say anything about them. But when we got there they next morning, they had set out chairs and if you had a chair you had a laptop. Husband was more than willing to stay overnight, but never got to, so we missed out. But they were very unorganized this year. We never did find the $8 dvds (of which I wanted a few) because none of the managers could tell us where they were. We asked several and they all said that they didn't know. One actually said that he had been looking for them too. How could they just not know where they were at?
  16. Do you know what I hate? People who assume. You know what assuming does don't you? Every year I put my blitz items in layaway as I have 3 kids and don't want to chance hiding them at home, where they may find them. With 3 kids, sometimes blitz is the only time that I can get a good enough deal to get 3 big ticket items at the same time. A gentleman I know also bought several of the desktops to donate to the local church, not to put on e-bay. He put those in layaway, so that he could give them to them at the Christmas service and he did not have a place to store them until then. And, on Blitz morning everyone looks like they are from the projects around here. I work in an office and normally go around in professional attire. But on BF I has on old jeans, tennis shoes and one of my husbands old sweatshirts. So, my suggestion would be not to assume. It only makes an a** of you and me.
  17. Nope, they are open all night, as usual, they just pull the stuff out on pallets wrapped (usually in black plastic) and an associate opens them at start time. Then the wild times begin!
  18. Wal-Mart here is only closed on Christmas Day. I think they would have a coronary if they were told they had to be closed.
  19. My thoughts exactly! Plus, what is wrong with copy the ads word for word? Isn't that what we are here for? Stories like this are the reason that I don't believe more than 10% of what I hear on the news. Did these geeks even look at this website? Even if these ads are wrong, they are upfront that these are rumored sales. At no time have I ever made all of my shopping plans based soley on the ads on this site. Even though I have found nothing but accuracy. Heck, I think this site is great! I have told all of my friends and relatives about it.
  20. Same here. Usually go back home and go to bed after, so why get all dressed. Plus after standing in line forever, I would look a mess anyway as it gets pretty hot. Better to just throw on a sweat shirt and pants and a T underneath and go. I am there to shop, not model.
  21. I am just looking for a printer for the kids. So this one looks like a good buy, as they use for school projects etc, nothing fancy. They are 8,7 and 3. But try as I might, I cannot find this printer in the ad. Could someone please help me? You can tell me what a ninny I am later. :)

    Walmarts 3.44 dvds

Last year they had DVDs that were about $3.44 too. They weren't the same ones that were in the $5.50 bins at that time. Last year I got Swordfish, Goodfellas, Dr T and the Women and a couple of others for friends that were pretty decent.
  23. I am so excited! I really want those deer. I was out there the other day looking at the ones that they have right now for $19.99 each. I hope that they are the same kind! Plus want some of those 99 cent movies. Those will make great stocking stuffers! And the Barbies too. Woo Hoo!!
  24. I have seen women fight over legos (99) I believe. As I have mentioned in other threads- had someone threaten to cut my husband over a Powerwheels. Have had people run into me with buggies, push, shove, etc. Have been cussed. Which is funny, because I am also the one that if I am up next to the pallet you can say, "Can you pass me one?" And I will. I'm not out to hurt anyone or take their stuff. If I miss the deal, it's not like I can't buy the same stuff later or get a different item. All of the freaks out there that get that crazy need to know this WAL-MART SELLS BARBIE DOLLS EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK! Plus, all of you who get in the stores at some crazy hour of the morning to wait for this stuff. Let the workers through with it. They are just trying to do their jobs and get the stuff to the position that it has been assigned. Move your buggies! Let them through! There was an associate at the Wal-Mart here, a couple of years ago, who got hurt pretty bad because when they ripped the plastic off of what ever she was standing by people started jumping over her (she is only about 5'2") and knocked her down and trampled her. Sorry for the rant. The people who do this type of stuff probably don't even read this type of post. They are just here for the ads and that's it. But if one does and it helps one person, then it was worth it.
