  1. Checked the Orange Park Florida store today,,,,still 50% on what few toys they had left. But i did find some really good bargains on clothes for my 12 year old girl....they were 75% to 90% off. Got 3 pairs of jeans (levi's, mudd's, angel's), 4 shirts, and one pair of shoes for $55+.
  2. not too much at Target tonight .... they had a lot of software for pc on 50%. Global Bazaar, sheets, some white goods 30% off. No furniture, bicycles, thermoscans, or coffee makers found. Only got 1 pair of boys 8-10 pants for $2.28, set of 3 boys boxers for $1.74, set of 2 boxer briefs for $1.74.
  3. ken, not a pool table, but sears has a baseball game on clearance for $49.97,,,if you have a store near you that can do the free shipping, it sounds like a good deal. http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/sbc.do?sbf=Clearance&vertical=FIT&cat=Game+Room&sbt=2&BV_UseBVCookie=Yes
  4. If you are talking about the big arcade game, you can try the Hwy 17 Ortega Store (right by the Navy Base Entrance). I saw 2 of them there yesterday morning. I think they were stickered at $199.99 --- I don't know whether they scan lower or not though. They were on endcaps near the sporting goods. You might want to call the store for availability and price before driving over, though.
  5. For Orange Park/Jacksonville shoppers... there was a console table (black) at the Hwy 17 (near the Naval Base) that rang up $32.xx. It is fairly tall with i think 2 small drawers. I did not need it so I did not get it but it is not marked clearance in any way.
  6. Thank you everybody! :) You all have cheered me a bit ... They say it comes in threes: this morning the icemaker stopped, lost my target bag/transmission issues, now my new digital camera shutter button is not working. So I already passed 3 and hopefully am not on my way to 6. Oh well,,,there will be those days.... I did call the store and the chick at customer service just kept telling me i had to bring my receipt to the store and then they would check their 'list'... about 15 miles ... and I can't because of my transmission. I kept asking her if she could just pleeeeaaasssseeee check 'the list' for me, and finally, exasperated, she said "oh, fine! hang on." Well, I hung on for over 15 minutes until she finally came back and actually said she forgot me. So then about 6 minutes later she comes back and said it had not been turned in. But since this is a shopping forum, and we have been warned by Brad, I won't go any more into the customer service issue or lack of... On a shopping note, I completely forgot to look for the thermometer!!! Since my kids are past the baby stage, I tend to avoid that area like the plague ... it brings back horrible memories of sleepless nights, baby spit up, and dirty diapers... But I really do need a new thermometer and I wish I had scored one or at least looked for it. I need to start making a Target 'list'.
  7. I have had my eyes on TWO 5 inch digital photo frames that, I swear, have been on the clearance end-cap marked 'as-is' at about 20 or 25% off since before Christmas.... every single week, i trot them up to customer service, hoping to finally get someone who will mark them down. Nope. They just keep on putting it on the shelf, hoping some sucker will pay $125.96 for a 5 inch digital frame. Heck the things will be obsolete, by the time they ever decide to mark it down!
  8. Wahhhhhh!!! I thought I had a good day at Target, but then it turned into a bad day!!! I had gotten at one store a little YuGiOh pricing guide and strategy book for my son. He is starting to put his YuGiOh cards on eBay so it was a great find for $1.48. I also got a PS2 Real World Golf Game for $34.98 for my father in laws birthday...only 30% off, but something I think he will like. (I later found it at another target for $24.98 so I exchanged it and pocketed the $10+! ) So at next Target, I got a PSP game for $9.98, and a Disney Mix Max adapter cord for $7.48, and a few other little things. I also got two bookshelves on sale for $19.99 (I think they were a regular sale item and not clearance). Buuuutttt... when I was loading the bookshelves in my car, i think i set my bag of stuff (about $25 worth) on the ground and forgot it there! .... waaaaahhhh!!! Merry Christmas to some Target parking lot peruser! And then, to top it off, my transmission apparently decided that today was the day to go kaputz, so I had to barely make it home in 'limp mode'.... waaaaahhh!
  9. Thank you for doing this for us, childofsolitude! That is very nice and I am sure it was time consuming....but it'll sure help alot of us out here, especially with the DCPI's :)
  10. I have the 30 day trial also. I probably have 'saved' about $30 in shipping charges since I got it. I like it because I don't HAVE to get $25 worth to one address in order to get free shipping. I was able to ship my mother the new harry connick jr cd free --- and dadgum if she did not get it the very same Tuesday that it went on sale in the stores. I sent one of those silver wall candle thingys to my sis for her birthday, one to a friend for her wedding, and then one to me. I would not have been able to do that with the free super saver shipping since each destination has to be $25. I have also been able to get a few other items one by one and it helps me not order stuff I really don't want or need. I personally think it may be worth the money for me to purchase this, but I think I will wait until they run a 'promotion' for it. Editted to add: Keep in mind, though, that the two day shipping starts from the time they actually ship it. Because I am still waiting on the steam cleaner i ordered 3 weeks ago.
  11. Many, many times the red stickered price is not the price it scans. So always scan the item if not too big. For the bigger items, if your store has the new scanners with the number pad on them, then you can look on the item or tag for a 9 digit number that looks like a social security number. punch that number into the scanner and press enter and it should show the current price. otherwise, take a pencil and paper with you and jot down any numbers you want to have checked for bigger stuff. All of the cashiers & customer service folk have been very nice and more than happy to punch up the number for me to tell me how much it is. In other words, don't just overlook an item you really want thinking the red sticker is the price of it. It may be cheaper and just never got re-tagged. Or if they are in the process of re-tagging, chances are the lower price is already in their computer but they just physically have not made it to retagging that item.
  12. I checked out Lowes in Orange Park FL and virtually NOTHING on clearance, except a few boxes of returned/opened stuff and most said 'as is' or 'pieces missing'.
  13. I think one reason prices do not always get marked down on clearance is because people bring stuff back that they got at 30%-50% off, but then it (or a better model) gets marked down to 75% and so they bring back what they bought and buy the other item. Then, alot of times, the item is just re-put on the clearance shelf with the older tag on it. And that is how I got my Shark sewing machine, my convection oven, a PS2 eye toy, and my pretty little bookcase i put together last night. None of these items were marked more than 50% off, but since I had been going to Target almost every day while hoping for the Foosball tables to be marked down, I noticed things that WEREN'T there one day WERE there the next ... so, I scan and they were 75% off things! So, all I can say is "thank you" to customers who have the practice of buying stuff and returning it to get it cheaper (which I think is not the greatest customer behavior) to Target restockers who don't 're-check' the price on returns (which is not exactly the best employee behavior), to uninformed shoppers who look only at the tag for the price of something (and to those people: I LOVE YOU!!!!!) BTW, my $19.98 shelf looks TERRIFIC! And my $33.98 sewing machine is already in service sewing me new curtains! So thank you Target! Thank you consumers! Thank you employees!!!! Thank you gottadeal!!!!!
  14. pammk, do you have any numbers or which store in Jacksonville? I am in Orange Park, so it is not too much for me to cross the pond, if need be for a great deal!
  15. I am so happy that one person here gave the tip to check to see if my store's scanner had the number pad. One of the 3 stores I frequent does, it is the newer scanner. So I just jot down the 9 digit number and input it into the scanner. for the other two stores, I just make a list and go to customer service and ask them to look them up.
  16. Did not find bikes or armoires today.... But did find a really cute white 5 shelf bookcase for $19.98, regularly $79.99. Apparently someone had just returned it according to the person helping me. A wrapping station table thingy, regularly $79.99, now $10.78 without box. A Euro Pro digital convection oven for $39.98, regularly $79.99. (BTW, they also had a delonghi (sp?) one for $31.xx that was not in a box but was regularly $89.99... Orange Park, FL store County Rd 220) A Playstation 2 Eye Toy game,,,,was really wanting one a few weeks back but they had sold out. I was happy to find this because it was labeled $24.98 but scanned $12.49! At one store they had a TON of the Disney Mix Max and Disney mix and accessories (no movie or song clips though) but only 15% off or so! Looks like they are beginning markdowns on another fire pit, and lots of 30% off of domestics & housewares. They had a lot of 'teen room' items and sheets for 50% off. Also, I wanted a plastic stackable holiday ornament box. It had no tag to scan. But 3 weeks ago I had gotten 2 of them (they were two to a set) at $4.98 each. So, I take it up to customer service asking what the price is. Lady rips it from my hands and says "This was salvaged a long time ago and we can't sell it to you". I am like, "well, I will pay $3 for it." .... I mean, I feel that is a fair price for a Christmas item that is only one piece of a set, and was on clearance for the whole set for only $4.98 3 weeks ago. Lady would not budge and says again she can't sell it. Okayyyyyy ....whatever! It was not like I was asking for 90% off or something,,,I just really wanted the box so that it would match and stack with the others that i got and really like for my craft stuff. Next time, I will do as folk suggest and take the item to some bored young man or lady at the cash register ... But my FAVORITE buy of the day was my $10 "Oh My Nola" CD from my man, Harry Connick jr.!!! Can't wait to rip that one open! Not a clearance item, but it made me happiest!
  17. Although I am not the original poster, I am pretty sure it is the same one I got... It is an sort-of octagonal 12x15 ft screen house, not a tent.
  18. The number for the clearance one was 072-01-0137... when i found it there were several of the new ones with a different number stacked on top of it. They all looked exactly the same, all red, all same looking box. She argued with me awhile that it should be $79.99. But when I finally got through to her that the DCPI numbers were different, she called someone who confirmed the other ones were $79.99 but that the price for the number matching this one box was $19.99. (Also, the silver ones and the newer red ones both have the same number as the shelf tag, even though the shelf tag only referenced the silver ones. The older red one should have the number above.) They were kind of annoyed that I made them give me the one from the bottom (they were pretty heavy)... but if they would have just sold me the other for the same price, i would have been just as satisfied .... But the 'clearance' box was not marked clearance in any way and was on the shelf with the regular wine coolers .... hope this helps.
  19. I had wanted this table, but my Target apparently sold out of them early. So I got the Foosball table instead. But I am kind of glad I got the full size Foosball table, as my kids are turning 11 & 12 this month. I am afraid they may have outgrown the multigame table quickly whereas I think they will like the larger foosball table longer. I think that the multi-game table was just 4 foot long, right? But for $25-$29 it would still be very worth it, even if they could only use it a little while.
  20. That is funny because just last week i was picking up a gallon of milk and it leaked all over me. There happened to be a guy in the refrig stocking the milk so i leaned in and told him it was leaking. He took it away . I thought it was an isolated incident, but i think I may re-think getting my milk from Target....
  21. Target is able to refund full amt paid without a receipt if you paid by credit card and just show them that credit card. I found this out this week when I wanted to take back a jacket but had no receipt.
  22. Yeah, in mine the video games and such were moved to the CD/book clearance shelf also.
  23. I've been seeing some furniture at 50% off on my side of town across 'the pond' (Orange Park), but I have not been seeing the 75% off deals others are seeing. And most of the 'good' furniture is already gone.
  24. LOL,,, sorry but I had to laugh... Even Target might have a hard time unloading those ice skates in Southern California!
