This differs from last year when the ad said price adjustment etc. does not apply to doorbusters. I called BestBuy.com and they said that their price adjustment policy is the same for Black Friday as any day. They will adjust the price *if* the item is available. So for the non-doorbusters that we know will be sold out in 5 minutes, don't be surprised to be dissapointed.

Overstock.com, Target, and I believe Walmart are 29 for the warranty

I just spoke with a supervisor (of course in New Dehli India). No luck. The best they could do for me after arguing with them for 30 minutes was sell it to me at the original price 26.99, but I was not eligible for a rebate. Strawberries, Suncoast, FYE, Sam Goody etc. You lost a customer. Doesn't matter much. I generally don't buy their $20 CDs and $30 DVDs.

Yeah, they also gave me the "We don't have anyone to update our website". I'm half tempted to buy it at full price just to see if it goes through and then flip out at them even more. I could always take it back to an fye store.

Seems like a giant phishing scam to get a whole bunch of names, addresses, phone numbers, and credit cards for potential customers. I will never buy from the company again.

Absolutely! But I've seen it backfire a bit. Two items may have a shipping of 8.50. While individually, they may be 7.50 each. So, it's not completely cut and dry. But, generally, it's best to purchase in $50 segments.

A couple weeks back I asked in Gamestop, 'what's the trade in value for a PS2' and was told $65. This week there's a coupon in their ad for an extra $20 with the trade in of a game system. So, I called up to ask if I'd get $85 and was told, no $60. They claim that the $20 promotion was being run then too (it just wasn't advertised) and over the past 2 weeks, the base price of the PS2 went down by $5. The coupon says on it, 12/8-12/14. Seems shady, but typical.

I personally did the 2 year warranty. $28 (after 20% off) is a great price for that. Update:Xbox 360 sold out at Overstock.com.

The store manager of my Best Buy said that they'll be having a BF-like sale the weekend before Christmas (12/16-12/17). Considering how clueless they were going into Black Friday, I take that news with two big grains of salt.

The only thing that would be worth selling is Women's clothes and Merry Christmas to my wife. Because, guys are the only ones who are making their shopping choices at that point!!

It's funny in a way. They quoted me the same thing over the phone when I called my store about how you need a receipt and how good they are at honoring price adjustments. And when I mentioned the "after thanksgiving sales" they were like, 'ohhh no. that wouldn't work!". Completely contradicting everything they said 10 seconds prior.

I called corporate and the person I got on the phone said that they do honor price adjustments for the after thanksgiving sales. Although, she didn't seem very official. Work at home and outsourcing has changed my view of "corporate" from a bunch of suits in a skyrise somewhere to a bunch of people who probably have never stepped foot in a store before. I called my local store and they said they won't know if they will honor price adjustments until the ad comes out. They said they did honor it last year, but did not the year before. And considering the ad comes "out" when the store is closed (Thanksgiving day), that doesn't give me much guarantee. I emailed corporate as well, as an email at least gives me something in writing. Has anyone seen a copy of an adscan that doesn't have some of the fine print on page 1 cropped?
