  1. No big deal taz....this is what the forums are for. They are here to share the information we believe to be true. I just told everyone not to jump in line really early because the only source we heard it from was you. The whole idea of releasing big items that late for Best Buy would not make business sense hence my comments. Thanks taz for actually posting stuff though. A lot of people know stuff but don't share so i commend you.
  2. I made it a point to say that you are probably not lying. I am sure you do have sources that did confirm this. All I am saying is I would find it hard to be true that there are secret sales or maybe there was some type of miscommunication. I appreciate all your hard work with your recons and I sure hope you are right.
  3. PEOPLE....i would not listen to this unless you want to go out on a thin thin string. Whatever his source is or whatever taz is saying i would not believe personally. Taz may not be lying but this source of his seems to be unreliable to me. THIS WOULD MAKE NO SENSE!
  4. Taz....you have kept the hope in this for me but honestly I don't think they will have anymore "secret sales." The idea behind Black Friday is to bring as many people as possible into their stores, even if they are breaking even or at a loss. It would make almost zero sense to release these at the last moment. I mean, who's going to be eathing Thanksgiving Dinner with their family and constantly checking online to see if there are "extra" deals?? Not very many people would benefit from this because no one would know. Plus, if they kept these deals quiet for as long as they have and they are indeed true....we need hire best buy employees into the CIA....
  5. Is there an advantage in paying with cash?? Like always, I would just use my debit card.
  6. All the Sony Vaio laptops they had in this style, they had three, were FullHD 1080p. I asked a sales rep if all the Sony Vaio's they sold with blu-ray were FullHD 1080p and he said he hasn't seen one in months that wasn't. Then I brought up the Black Friday laptop and he said he couldn't imagine it not being 1080p....so i guess we'll see. Hope that helps.
  7. Delete this post!!!! This is going to get people out there much earlier than last year! I went out last year on wednesday night and was second in line. There is no friggin way i am going out any earlier this year....just a suggestion!
  8. Its not a gift but rather for personal use. I am just looking for a higher end laptop for a good deal....
  9. I wanted to start a tread for this laptop because information on it has been dispearsed throughout this forum. What I know about this Laptop: -Intel® Centrino® processor technology with Intel® Core™2 Duo processor T5800, 4GB DDR2 memory, 250GB hard drive and high-speed wireless networking (802.11a/b/g/n) -Double-layer DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with full Blu-ray Disc support, 16.4" XBRITE ECO widescreen, Mobile Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, media buttons, built-in webcam, Memory Stick Duo/SD card slots, Windows Vista Home Premium with SP1 -Casino Royale Collector's Edition on Blu-ray Disc included with laptop -Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2009 to protect your computer against Internet threats; provides real-time protection by automatically checking instant messaging and e-mail attachments; computer scanning and proactive intrusion blocking Is anyone thinking about getting this? The real question I have is do you think this is a Black Friday "worthy" deal? I almost feel as I could get this any other time for this price. Also, how quick do you think these will go? In the past years, I have gone back to Best Buy at like 10 AM or so and they would still have the more expensive laptops in stock. Black Friday really brings out the people that do not want to spend a lot.
  10. I went in and looked at a comparable Sony Laptop. I think it actually might be the exact same as the one on Black Friday. It said "FULL HD 1080P" on it.
  11. Its not a big difference at all. I would consider that to be "wrong" based on her analysis. I understand that it was a nice thing to do, but don't say that we are wrong for being in line way early and selling the tickets. Either way, the people in line the earliest (or the people behind me) are not being treated fairly....I don't sell the tickets but I will get an extra laptop and desktop to sell later on.
  12. Who says that the person behind you didn't want this LCD Monitor?? Is it fair you got one and did not get it; then give it to a family that might not have waited as long as the person behind you that subsequently loses out? I don't see much of a difference.
  13. I really wouldn't worry about that. They have always said one per household. There is really no way for BB to enforce this rule.
  14. I agree. I have done this the last four years. Last year, I went Wednesday night just to stake it out and see if anyone was out there yet. To my surprise, there was one tent up. So what did I do, i jumped out and got right in line and spent the night. Woke up the next morning and no one was even behind me. Yes, I have the right to get ONE ticket for every item. If i want to sell them that is my prerogative....you don't have to buy.
  15. Well, first, they seem to lack performance when it comes to Intel and second, I have had 5 laptops over the last 3 years (thanks to Black Friday and my tactics, ha) and the one with AMD crashed. Could be just a coincidence and probably is, but thats the way it is. Yes, it would be fine with what I am doing for the most part but I woud rather have a quality laptop than one that has old hardware (and I know they don't put the newest stuff in these BF laptops). I would be perfectly fine with the Toshiba as long as I know what is actually in it. but thats just my opinion and thanks for the help!
