This differs from last year when the ad said price adjustment etc. does not apply to doorbusters. I called BestBuy.com and they said that their price adjustment policy is the same for Black Friday as any day. They will adjust the price *if* the item is available. So for the non-doorbusters that we know will be sold out in 5 minutes, don't be surprised to be dissapointed.

Overstock.com, Target, and I believe Walmart are 29 for the warranty

I just spoke with a supervisor (of course in New Dehli India). No luck. The best they could do for me after arguing with them for 30 minutes was sell it to me at the original price 26.99, but I was not eligible for a rebate. Strawberries, Suncoast, FYE, Sam Goody etc. You lost a customer. Doesn't matter much. I generally don't buy their $20 CDs and $30 DVDs.

Yeah, they also gave me the "We don't have anyone to update our website". I'm half tempted to buy it at full price just to see if it goes through and then flip out at them even more. I could always take it back to an fye store.

Seems like a giant phishing scam to get a whole bunch of names, addresses, phone numbers, and credit cards for potential customers. I will never buy from the company again.

Absolutely! But I've seen it backfire a bit. Two items may have a shipping of 8.50. While individually, they may be 7.50 each. So, it's not completely cut and dry. But, generally, it's best to purchase in $50 segments.

A couple weeks back I asked in Gamestop, 'what's the trade in value for a PS2' and was told $65. This week there's a coupon in their ad for an extra $20 with the trade in of a game system. So, I called up to ask if I'd get $85 and was told, no $60. They claim that the $20 promotion was being run then too (it just wasn't advertised) and over the past 2 weeks, the base price of the PS2 went down by $5. The coupon says on it, 12/8-12/14. Seems shady, but typical.

I personally did the 2 year warranty. $28 (after 20% off) is a great price for that. Update:Xbox 360 sold out at Overstock.com.

The store manager of my Best Buy said that they'll be having a BF-like sale the weekend before Christmas (12/16-12/17). Considering how clueless they were going into Black Friday, I take that news with two big grains of salt.
