  1. Iam not a regular Kmart shopper either but needed to get a bunch of baby clothes to donate to a new Mom in Pennsylvannia that really barely has enough money to live (she works with my sister) Anyway, I picked out at least 20 wintery type outfits, since I live in Florida, they were all reduced to some really low prices. Then when I went to pay for them, they actually rang up for even less. I think the very most expensive outfit was 1.00 (regularly 15.99) The deals were so good I had to go back and get another (almost full) basket of stuff. This happened to me after Valentines day at TArget too. Wowee! I am mailing this giant box out tomorrow and I know the young lady will be thrilled. Of course I cut off all the price tags because I doubt if they were even returnable. I will send a note and tell her to donate anything that she can't use to a church or shelter. I lovvvve bargains. Am I the only one that thinks of shopping as a Game? a game that one must actually win? A game where scoring counts?
  2. I never even looked twice at Global Bazaar stuff until a few days ago when it was 50% off, but even at 50% off, the stuff just wasn't very appelaing, then last night they dropped to 75% off and I just didn't see anything appealing at all. Well, well, well. today at 90% off, all of a sudden those hideous pillows and ugly vases, tacky candle holders...everything that was stilll there looked so tremendously gorgeous and wouldn't you kn ow, it even "fit" into my deco style. It's amazing how a few percentage off changes can so drastically change one's outlook! Oh yeah Target, I still love you!
  3. No, I didn't even scan the little animals because I just figured they were 75% like the sign said. It wasn't until I got to the register to pay when the cashier scanned them that I found out the "real" discount. By the way, it looks like I'm not too far you, I'm in Jax. Actaully graduated from U of F in gainsville. Since you said today is the normal discount schedule, make sure you get today. Mine is now almost cmpletely wiped out due to a greedy mom (ah-hem) that collects things for her son's school.
  4. woowee target valentine at 75% today but they had a bunch of little pink, red, lavendar little animals that "sing" when you press their tummy. Originally they were 1.99 so I figured they'd be 50 cents. When I got to the register, I had about ten of them and they rung up for 19 cents each. As soon as I checked out, I went back and got all of them I could find, about 43 more. These are perfect little gifts for my son't Treasure CHest at school. The children get to pick something out of treasure chest for doing extra work, extra good work, trying extra hard, etc. thank you target!
  5. I finally ventured into target tonight and did find the VD discounted to 50%. Of course I scanned a few items to make sure it wasn't really 75, but no such luck. Actually they had an entire isle crammed full with stuff, Even a few gift sets that weren;t really too valentine themed to use any holiday or birthday of the year. I bought a few things, but as we all know, they become much more attractive at 75% and can't pass up too much at 90% I will wait again, have fun. Kristyn
  6. I will look in my Target and Walmart. If they have any in my "clearance comfort" zone (20 bucks or less) I will buy it and donate to your efforts. I recently gave a practically new one away on my local Freecycle because my son had outgrown the My First Leap Pad programs. I will look in my stores in the next few days. You are commendable for your work with children. Kristyn
  7. Nothing works like a big diamond..well, unless she's into handbags, I'd suggest a Chanel Classic. Just stay away from ebay as there are so many fakes. If however you live in the real world, instead of my fantasy world, I think the previous posts sounds adorable. You must be pretty special to even ask about ideas and she is certainly a lucky gal. Best wishes for whatever you decide.
  8. Wow, I feel bad (heck, even guilty) that no one else is finding their Michael's to be such a deal. If anyone has a specific need (school project, etc.) and they want me to check for items at a low low price, I'd be happy to. Or if I already have the item, I'd be happy to help also. This reminds me of the time when I read several posts about members getting Calphalon sets for a great deal at Target and my Target never did have them on clearance. Anyway, let me know if I can help. I am still so new here and I have read the rules - I hope I didn't overlook anything prohibiting this offer. Have fun. Kristyn
  9. Just left Michael's (craft store) in jacksonville Florida. They had at least 6-8 complete aisles of red-stickered clearance items AND an additional 70% off of the lowest price. I got a full basketful of school goodies, paint sets, hobby sets, and all kinds of (perhaps useless, but still fun!) craft items. I think I got about 100 little things to put in my son's kindergarten class "treasure chest" for a big total of 3 cents each! . I also got 5 or 6 oil color sets (complete with paint, brushes, step by step direction books, canvases, mixing tools and palette) that were originally 29.99, reduced to 15.00, reduced again to 5.00, and once more reduced to 3.00, THEN an additional 70% off for a total of 90 cents each! I won't bore anyone with more details, but if you have a Michael's I'd suggest calling them to see if your store has this clearance bonanza. This is without doubt one of the best scores I have hit in a while and it was totally by accident as I just stopped in to buy a bottle of glitter. Whew! I'm worn out just thinking about it. Have fun. I have to go alphabatize my finds.
  10. I am so happy that so many people are finding deals at their Target. My Target (Jacksonville, Florida) which has been my place to "score" for many years, has been really dissappointing in the clearance deals lately. Since it seems as though some of the the other board members finds are new, I suppose I'll try again. After christams I found a queen flannel sheet set for 1.99, which was a definite hit, however not enough thrill to last almost to Valentines Day for a true addictee of those perimeter finds. You guys have fun and I will puppy myself across the street to Target once again on that quest for the buy of a lifetime.
  11. I just left Target in JAcksonville Florida and hit the jackpot. 90% off and they even included any christmas theme blankets, sheet sets, toys that were in holiday theme packages. and of course the usual christmas paper, holiday decorations, bows and more and more. I even got a set of flannel sheets (queen) for 1.99. I have no idea how they accidently? got marked down. There were only 2 others there so we were having an absolute score! By the time I left, it was well picked over, but at 90% off, probably still many treasures hiding under the piles and piles of stuff. Have fun !
